On 5/19/2023 my mom took my custom-made ring into Jeffery B for repair. At no point did he ever contact me or my mom to tell me the ring was ready. On 8/25/2023, my husband and I went to pick up my ring. The kid there could not find my ring and made several calls to ********* about the were abouts of my ring. He then told us Jeffery would call us later that night. We received no phone call from Jeffery that night. I would call 2-3 times a week trying to contact Jeffery and all I would get is " Jeffery hasn't called you, well he will". He never contacted me nor my husband. Finally, on 9/21/2023, my husband received a phone call from Jeffery stating that he lost the ring, and he would have a new ring made for me in one week. After Jeffery talked with my husband, he then called me and told me that he lost my ring and would have a new ring made for me in one week. Today is now 11/16/2023, and I still do not have my ring. I have made several attempts to call Jeffery for him not to return my calls, or even pick up the phone when I call. I have also texted him and, the majority of the text go unanswered. If he does respond it, is the same excuse, He is working on it. At this point I see that I am not going to get my ring, and with this kind of treatment of a customer, that he openly admitted he did wrong, I just want my money back. The ring has a declared value of $20,000.00. Today I found out that he sold his business. I do not think it is right that I have no ring and then have to pay out of my pocket to get another ring, when Jeffery admitted to losing my ring. I do not trust that a ring is being made, especially since he said he would have a new ring made in one week and now it is 8 weeks later, and he still does not answer my calls or texts.Customer response

I have attached the email I sent to Jeffery B, and the receipt that shows the ring was still in Jeffery B's possession when we went to pick it up, and the kid there could not find it and told me Jeffery or ********* would call either me or my husband.Initial Complaint

I am new to the town of ****** - I found **************** Jewelers thru ****** being near to me....owner seemed quite nice - I left 4 watches with him to fix - one to have ******* buffed, one change of battery, one was a complicated digital watch that i couldn't change time to and one was an expensive watch that my father left me to have him get running again . Got receipts - never heard back from him - have tried calling three or four times - no reply - went over to his address again - didn't answer door.Business response

************** is correct, my watchmaker and I have had his watches since 1/13/2023. Estimates on repairing old watches can take quite a while. In the case unfortunately delay my
response, to **************, due to being out of town and not leaving info with staff. Our phone records do not show any phone call or messages from **************. Today I sent him the
following text. Along with a link to make an appointment, as we are by appointment only, jewelry store.
This is the email that I have sent after acquiring his email from his complaint on your website.
Dear **************,
Thank you for bringing your watches to our jewelry store for repair. We apologize for the delay in our response to your inquiry regarding the status of your watches. We understand your frustration and we assure you that we are doing our best to address the issues with your watches as soon as possible.
We would like to inform you that our watchmaker has been working diligently on repairing your watches since they were dropped off on 1/13/2023. However, please note that the repair of old watches can take a considerable amount of time, and we appreciate your patience.
Regarding the missed phone calls or messages, we have reviewed our phone records, and we could not find any missed calls or messages from your number. Nonetheless, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
To expedite the repair process and provide you with better service, we have sent you a text message with a link to make an appointment as we are operating by appointment only.
Once again, we apologize for the delay and any inconvenience caused. We value your patronage and appreciate your patience and understanding.
