DO NOT USE THEM!I used them to install a radon mitigation system. Install was professional and quick, and they promised levels would be less than the *** limit of 4 pCi/L.However, the levels never fell to below that level. I have a radon meter at home that measures radon levels, and levels averaged between 6-8 pCi/L range.I called twice to try to set up an appointment and left a message. No one ever called me back. On the third time of me calling, I finally was able to set up the appointment. They told me the appointment would be free since it was only 2 months from the install and the levels were still very high. However, after the fact they are now trying to charge me $150 and are refusing to back down on this fee.

****** was punctual, professional, and thorough. He answered my questions thoroughly, pointed out specifics, and made absolutely sure I understood everything he was noting in his report. In follow-**** he was equally prompt and thorough in his responses, and I am well satisfied with all aspects of his work.I have no hesitation in recommending him!

I think Axium Inspections runs a very profitable business for themselves but deceiving to the end customer. I paid ****** for an "Asbestos Inspection/Testing" and then on top of that, without anyone telling me anything, the inspector (not his fault,) explained that for each sample they would test I had to pay ***** and each area has to be sampled twice. The add on to my **** was ******. You tell me how this is a fair business practice? They won't release the report unless this is paid. So I paid ****** to have an inspector come out - that's what that covered plus some other online fees they charge. This is not a fair practice and they should be ashamed of themselves.

We have thoroughly reviewed your issue and there are a couple of important items here: 1) This order was completed entirely through our online ordering system. Being that Asbestos inspections are heavily regulated at the State level, we are required to take a certain number of samples based on the State's guidelines. This is highly variable from property to property, so it is next to impossible to determine how many samples are required at the point of sale. While there were no lab fees included in the initial order, our inspector did confirm all of the fees and the number of samples required with ******* at the very beginning of the inspection (5:30 on our inspector's body camera). Not only did our inspector disclose the exact number of samples needed, he clearly disclosed the per sample cost and received approval before proceeding with any portion of the inspection. The claim that we wouldn't release the report until payment was received is 100% accurate, however, ******* failed to disclose that he was made aware of these fees before we moved forward with the inspection. We have updated our service agreement to reflect the per sample cost to make sure any confusion is alleviated on future online scheduled orders, but in this instance the client was provided full disclosure and we are happy tor provide the footage from our body camera to support this fact.

Would not recommend. While they did technically complete the work, you might as well hire and general contractor, electrician, plumber, and engineer instead as you will have to hire them anyway to get advice/piece of mind. I trusted them to be my eyes as a first time home buyer, that did not happen.

********** himself, states that we completed the work. Which we did exactly according to the scope of work outlined - scoping a main line from the basement of the home to the City line. We have also had several conversations with him this week to discuss. We truly do empathize with his situation, and have even offered to refund part of his fee in good faith, which was declined. Home Inspectors are meant to give general overviews of a property. Our Team inspects the various components, and yes, does give further recommendations based on our findings. To have an inspection done by each of these contractors as ********* states, would be exorbitant and impractical, which is exactly why a Home Inspector is critical. We are able to tell you exactly who you should call based on what we find during our reporting and make recommendations as needed, saving the customer both time and money. Again, we don't wish any of our customers to be disappointed with our service, but the service that we provided is what we were hired to do. If ********* is interested in discussing further, we'd be happy to, but we do not feel that this complaint is a valid one.
