Nightmare situation! I had Dalco install a brand-new furnace and all new ducting in an older bungalow (1914)home last fall. **** and ******* did all the work themselves. The system has never worked properly and the back half of my house was cold all winter. I had to use portable heaters to keep my bedroom and office area warm. When I emailed and texted **** to explain that it was always cold he sent me an email of the 10 reasons why it wasn't working all of which were my fault. I hired two other companies to come out and give me their take on the issues I was having and both said the furnace system he installed was way too small and all the duct work and the gas line were not done to code. They recommend calling the ************** because he didn't pull a permit. I called the ************** and he hasn't had a license to work in ****** since Dec 2021! **** had me pay cash for the system because he didn't want to report the money. ** **** ** ** ** * ******* ****** **** *** ********** **** Bad business all the way around with this guy. Don't let him come in your house and charge you 15k cash and not do it to code. I have to have it all completely redone now by someone who is actually licensed to do the work.Business response

Both your online complaint and general dismissiveness with 4 of us at DALCO seem to stem from your personal animosity towards **** for a dating relationship that has ended.
Unfortunately we cannot make every room in your home comfortable if you won't let us. We designed and constructed 6 supplies that work, and you, under the guidance of "******************* (your) builder friend", designed 3 supplies that we were asked to construct that do not. We have offered repeatedly to redesign and correct them for you at no cost, but you continually resist and complain. Similarly if you suddenly want this work permitted and inspected by ************** ******************* 5.5 months after work has been completed we will need your cooperation with code compliance and allowing us possible inspection resolution efforts if needed after inspection that we don't currently have. You have been aware of our disapproval of your faulty duct design to your Master Bedroom, Master Bathroom, and Office, disallowed condenser location, and absence of crawl space wall insulation surrounding 7 water sources and your Son's bedroom along with our lapse in that specific ****** license and why since before this project began.
At this point since you won't speak with us or allow us to work on your home I suggest we schedule mediation to talk through the business-relevant portion of this with the assistance of a qualified 3rd party. If this matter heads to court it will be a requirement anyway. Fortunately the BBB offers free mediation services for these complex types of conflicts as well.

I am rejecting this response because: The comments made are not correct. Dalco was hired as a professional business and installed a furnace that was too small, they never tested, does not perform and is not installed per code. I have had two separate HVAC professionals do testing and both found the same findings. I have hired an attorned to deal with Dalco moving forward and ********************* will be in touch with Dalco.
