My wife and I have **********************. We decided to seek therapy and got to SonderMind through the ****** website. We put our ****** insurance information in to our SM accounts and were shown therapists that take our insurance. We both selected different providers, and started our sessions. Only to find out that they aren't truly covered by ******. Luckily, my wife's provider did not charge her for her 1 session they did before we found this out. However, my provider wants paid for the 4 sessions that we have had. I have reached out to SonderMind twice via phone call and twice via their "contact us" section of their website, to no avail. This is fraud at its finest.Review from Karen K

Well I love my therapist. But your customer service is horrible. Your charging me a regular price when Im cover by insurance in network with you. My insurance adviser has emailed multiple times as have I with no response. Cannot talk to anyone when we call. The hold time for a representative it i unacceptable . No one can hold that long!!!!! Unfortunately Im probably going to have to leave. Because of this problem with your finance/customer service. Which is unfortunate.Review from JEANNE A

Will never use Sondermind again. They double-billed me for three sessions. After my insurance sent the payment and I gave them the *** number, amount and date sent, they billed my credit card. I am now contesting these double charges and my insurance is reporting Sondermind for over-billing.I will not even go into the repeated communications with customer service and billing. Noone in this company communicates with each other.

Don't do it! I had an appointment and was never sent a link to join!! I even messaged the counselor a couple minutes after the appointment should have started with no reply. I had all my time stamps to my messages showing that I was there waiting and they refused to refund my $85. Why should I have to pay when I didn't receive the link? ***. The counselor even said she didn't know how it works?! There are plenty of other companies with better reviews, look into them.SonderMind Inc Response

Very unhappy with this company on how they operate the business and been asking for refund for over a month and keep taking money out from my account without permission, and so very unhappy I have bills to pay and I was told I can make payments and just proses my coat pay and they are giving me a hard time getting my money from them multiple times and multiple times I called and not getting away Weare this people .But still haven't received my money yet and they took ****** out from my account and the aren't doing anything to fix it just investing it and I sent all my information to prove I have insurance. I just had my 3rd session. My counselor listens, gives feedback, and ask questions. In the end she gives me material to help dig deeper into the issues or to reinforce our conversation. I am new to this, but I'm so glad I opened up to it.SonderMind Inc Response

I am surprised by the negative reviews that I see. I have an incredible therapist. I am from a similar field, and I have seen some bad eggs. Unfortunately, that's difficult to avoid, but I have the most incredible therapist I've ever met from here. As well, my insurance went through very quickly, and I have never paid more than $15 a session. The whole experience has been easy and incredible for me.SonderMind Inc Response

This review is for the ******************* While I really love working with my therapist, I may have to stop my sessions due to the extremely unorganized and unethical billing practices of Sonder Mind. I signed up for Sonder Mind because they are In Network with my insurance. For virtual sessions, I am supposed to pay no more than a ***** copay. Instead, I have been charged ****** per session! When I reached out to my insurance, they stated that Sonder Mind has yet to send any invoices to them. When I try to reach Sonder Mind, they do not have a direct number to their billing department. I sent several email "Cases" to them over the past three weeks and still no response. It is unethical to charge people and then have multiple barriers in place when there is a billing issue. When one calls the Sonder Mind main number, it is excessively hard to reach someone about their billing. I am very disappointed because this is not my therapist's fault, but if the issue is not resolved within the next week, I will have to stop sessions.
