Possibly the worst contractor we have ever dealt with. The *** seems to be falling down on the job of warning consumers about these contractors, both of them. Rio has a partner company, ********, just as bad. I called him after reading he has an A-+ rating at the BBB but should have read all the comments. Seems odd, it's almost all females who complain about his ethics and performance. In case you're wondering, he, they, have NONE!They will lie to your face, install substandard concrete and leave a horrific mess, that you will have to hire another contractor to fix the mess they left!My mistake for signing the work order prior to final clean up, since he told me to call him when I was ready to put the rest of the equipment and fixtures back in the garage, and he would send over the "Crew" to help me. I called him, he told me to call *********, who works for **********, which I did, he said no problem, he would call me back with price and time. NEVER HEARD OR SAW FROM ANY OF THEM SINCE!!!!! Surprised NO.He had more excuses for non-performance than any contractor I have me 1st excuse is that they do flat work and nothing is required!. He forgets OSHA requirement. They lied about the material being included within the concrete, since they did not reinforce the pad in any manner failure is guaranteed to fail, it will happen sooner than later. The concrete truck drove up on the brand-new sidewalk and broke it, they did not back-fill where the forms were and water will get under the pad and cause failure, and the trenches being open create a falling hazard for ANYONE stepping off pad or sidewalk, as per OSHA they were to be back-filled. Once ******** removed the forms, leaving nails and screws that caused flat tires, they ran off like a scalded dog, the completion of the project remains incomplete! I am certain they will hear from the City about replacing the sidewalk.***************** of RIO stated to me times 3 or 4 times, if I included the garage floor, gave him $400.00 he would provide 4 men to help clear the garage of equipment, tables, cupboards and storage goods in three hours. He would also provide TARPS for the ground and tarps to cover all the material, since they have plenty of tarps. My question was both out and in? His response was YES, did not believe him so we went over this again, I did not want to include the garage, he was the one who asked me to show him the garage, again this was not part of what I wanted replaced. Needless to say, he did not provide 4 men, demanded I pay him $400.00 and then said he did not know how much he was going to charge me for replacing the items. They did a significant amount of damage to my belongings and did NOT PROVIDE 1 tarp. Ray did bring a partial roll of thin plastic, which did not prevent water damage to anything. I had to go to Harbor freight and buy as many tarps I could afford. Not enough to cover all.I called him after the garage was clear and had him come by the next day. He had failed to write a contract, and when he did, he casually left off the garage commitment.I am sure he thought he was being cute but actually he set up himself and ******** for a law suite.After more conversations he said that he was part of a Government program to encourage home owners who needed home improvements, to invest in local Contractors and in return get *********************************************************************************************************************************************************************** this program. They need to improve the vetting process; he should never have gotten thru.The BBB gives him an A+ rating which is misleading, but according to him its worth the $500.00 dollars a year it costs him. Unfortunately costs home owners who believe the BBB a ton more, we am currently at $800.00 and more coming!! These Contractors are a ****************** and do not deserve a single star. For us this calls into question what the BBB is really about. We have ran into this A and A+ rating previously with other horrible businesses and the BBB does NOTHING probably due to lining their pockets.

Rio exteriors did everything promised to the contract and ********************* approved . We helped her move her belongings out to do the back yard And we told her this would be 400 dollars . The crack in the sidewalk was paid by the cement company
