On Nov.2020, Rio Exteriors & Construction poured a sidewalk of 29 ft.6in long and 2ft.1in. wide on my property with a (1) year warranty. I paid $1500.00 dollars to have this work done. The work was done and within 5 months after the work was done my sidewalk began to crack in a 2ft. section. I contacted Rio Construction (Ray E****) the owner to let him know the issue. He stated that is was to cold to repair and call back around May or June of 2021. At this time I called him back and he stated that it would be to expensive to replace the cracked section and it also would not look good. Ray E**** stated I can repair it myself by using cement seaer. I said this is covered under the warranty that he should take care of the problem not me. I have contacted Ray on (5) different occations and he continues to tell me to repair this issue myself. The (1) year warranty has now expired and still not has been repaired.Ray E**** has also stated on my text message when I call him with a (LOL) laugh out loud character sign. Ray E**** stated that it would cost about $400.00 to replace this section and to him that would to expensive to come out for just that small section to replace. Ray E**** has not live up to fulfilling his (1) warranty and this section of sidewalk needs to be removed and repoured not just a fill in. This is the reason I had the new sidewalk replaced to begin with. I am hoping that Ray E**** comes out ASAP and lives up to his warranty and replaces this section of my sidewalk. Thank you for your help in this matter.Business response

Rio exteriors poured a sidewalk for the homeowner for the the time he prescribed
this was a hairline crack and have told the homeowner to fix himself if crack is larger or wider
it’s just a matter of running a bead of concrete caulk in the hairline crack
and the homeowner wants the section replaced
to much money for the company to go out or not cost effective for the company to repair
we have told the homeowner this and we went out to do the repair , the homeowner says he wants replaced
the problem with replacing the concrete , unless your replacing all is the new concrete doesn’t match the other that’s been poured
the has to pay for the concrete if he wants repair

I contacted Ray E**** of Rio Construction. Ray E**** stated not to worry about the warranty he will come out and take care of the problem.Ray E**** has never shown up to take care of this issue, that is a flat out “LIE”. I don’t feel like I should take care of this out of my pocket because when I contacted Ray E**** it was still under warranty. He (Ray E****)did tell me to fix it myself but should I have to do this when it was under warrant? Ray E**** will tell you anything to make himself look like has has done well with the customer when he has never done so. It doesn’t matter to me if the new section looks newer that the other again it was under warranty and he refuses to do the repair correctly. It is not up to the customer to do repair work under warranty. How can this company continue to do work and say they have A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau when they do not honor their warranty. Terrible company and I will continue to post negative as often as I can.
