I was lied to in reference to an overpriced and unhonored warranty for tires. *** spent more on tires in the past 6 months than I have for most cars Ive purchased. The service advisor was incompetent and a lying thief. I love my Mazda and I am so sad Ill have to go elsewhere to purchase my next vehicle due to terrible maintenance options for my car.Review from Jeannie T.

I was lied to. I know buyer beware, but I was totally lied to! I have bought cars at *** Penkhus before and was happy, I was respected and I went back. I felt like this is the place that I would always go back to for my vehicle needs. I bought a brand new Mazda CX-30 November 5, 2021. The car had a few quirks, but I absolutely loved it. It had an issue where it totally ran out of oil, had to have some valve seals replaced and I felt like this was not ok since it was a new car with less than ****** miles. I had a few other things with sensors, etc go wrong over the year so it had been in ****************. I told them that I felt like I needed to be made "whole" and get a fair trade value, more than it books for so that I could get another Mazda, without the quirks. I was at work, they told me to come in right then because interest rates would go in the next day. I did so they could look at the value of my car. I stayed an hour and a half and they did the appraisal of my car and told me that I could do another Mazda CX-30 but not a Mazda CX-5 which I also liked. I was Ok with that. They also said that I could not get the model with the Turbo, which my current car had, but I agreed to that, because maybe it would save on a ticket or 2. I was told I would get a 2023 and have ************ and Bose speakers. I had to go back to work, I did get to choose between black, blue, red or gold and I chose gold. I did not get off work until 6:45 PM. The dealership closes at 7 but they stayed until I could get there to sign. I went in to sign, trusting that I had been told the truth and that **** my salesman and **** the finance man were honest. I never test drove the car. I went home, less than 1 mile. The next morning at 5:30 am I was going to work and noticed that I had no ************ or Bose speakers, I reached out immediately. I was given no option, other than, I signed it was mine. Awful ***************** Talk to any one other than "Service Consultant" ***************************, go seek a manager immediately for any service issues; will attempt to push you out the door. Rude and unprofessional! My wife just bought a brand new 2023 Mazda CX50 from the Motor City Dealership one week ago. When driving at higher speeds we noticed a lot of noise coming from the sun/moon roof. We called and scheduled an appointment at the "NORTH" dealership believing it was a possibly a seal issue. Received a phone call from Consultant *************************** with him "believing" that it came from the roof racks installed on top. When asking him if they took them off and test drove it to make sure and confirm that this was the issue; he stated; "No we haven't taken it out again because we believe that is the issue, and we will charge you to remove the racks". When questioning him how he can be so sure without removing the racks and driving the vehicle again. He snapped and said "I guarantee this is the issue" and handed us the paperwork for the vehicle. ***************** and this dealership do not care about the customers, the costumer's concerns or their vehicles and are more concerned with numbers and how many vehicles they can push through service. Awful first impression, we will not be back or deal with ******************.Review from Will K

Amazing service and parts depts, especially Layne T. in service. We were out of towners with an emergency fix needed including a part overnighted, and Layne was to only one in 3 states that could, and was willing to, pull it off. He even got us a courtesy vehicle so my family could still enjoy the sites while waiting on our one day in town. No possible future business and still went out of their way! Wish my hometown dealership was half as good. Very grateful!Review from TS

Apparently when you buy new vs used you are treated completely different. I bought a new car several years ago and loved everything about it. Fast forward several years and I sent my daughter since it was her first time financing and she bought used. She had the worst experiencing ever is an understatement. You have lost me as a customer and also me referring new customers. These men shouldn't take advantage of young women by shoving things down their throat and making them feel like they "need" to do these such as warranties ect and make them feel if they don't these awful things will happen. I called Mazda and was promised several things by the GM JR and now I'm told her is no longer there. Same with the sales guy that had promised things he apparently quit the very next day. Hass the fiance manager gave her a hard time when she came one time to complete one of the things that was promised to her. He called her out and utterly embarrassed and humiliated her in front of other employees and customers, it's not only unprofessional its unethical. Shame on you MazdaReview from Savannah K

Layne Thomason is the most amazing, caring and incredible service advisor one could ask for! It was a pleasant experience overall. Layne is very patient, honest and very straight forward with costs for service and wait times. Very strong communication skills and keeps you in the loop through each step of your visit.Review from Chris L

If I could give this dealership less than a 1 star rating I would. These people are corrupt and do not deserve anyone’s business. When I recently purchased a used vehicle I was charged $2500 over what was discussed with the sales person before seeing the finance manager. Thankfully they corrected their mistake and made an excuse about not knowing where their salesperson received this information. If I hadn’t know what to look for, this wouldn’t have been caught as they are not honest enough to make sure the figures on your contract are correct. Next, they coerced me into buying multiple add-on products so that I could receive a lower interest rate. This is another ploy to make up your deal and greedily receive a higher paycheck. Next they were reluctant in giving me the additional documents of my add-on products which stated that I could in fact cancel these products. Upon trying to cancel the products I was told it would take 4-6 weeks for a check to be sent to my bank. It has taken 7 weeks and the check has still not been received by my bank. The Supervisor called to inform me that it was because their personnel was on vacation, however she didn’t have any verifying proof that the check was sent (no tracking info) and didn’t seem to care if and when it would be received and made it the issue of the bank instead of their responsibility. They are greedy, incompetent people that only care to rob you of your money. DO NOT give them your business.
