On Thursday June 17 I was informed by "Honest Accurate Auto" that the warranty Denied my claim because I replaced my timing belt and that was the reason my engine failed and had cracks. I did tell them I infact replaced it but I did so after the car was broke down on a. Academy. I told them I had pictures of the pistons prior that I had taken with an endoscope from when I had changed spark plugs. And yet they tell the warranty company it was my fault because the timing belt wasn't lined up right. I replaced it the night before on s. Academy where it sat broke down moreso out of desperation because I was evicted that day and needed to get my property. However as I had stated multiple times I replaced it after it broke down. I found it also odd that "Randy" would mention that the mechanic who came to the conclusion that it was a timing belt that warped and cracked pistons/engine would or wanted to buy the car. I'm homeless. Carless and now owe for a car that I will never see again

Jarrod, We are sorry that the warranty company denied your claim on this Subaru that was tow over to Honest Accurate Auto.  I do not believe that they denied due to your installation of the timing belt, I believe that there is more to it then that. We never stated that the car was not running due to the timing belt being installed wrong, the technics word were.
“Engine has interference when turning over by hand. Shredded timing belt in back seat. Timing marks are not aligned correctly. Engine valves are bent, possible piston damage. Recommend replacing long block. Intercooler is jb welded to turbo. Many parts missing from engine. Stop leak on radiator.”
If the Warranty company denied your claim over this, that is not our fault. As you can see here we told them that there was a bad timing belt in the rear seat, and the timing marks where off. When the timing belt breaks on one of these motors it can cause damage to the valves and sometime the pistons. We do not know at this point if the pistons have damage but we do know that the valve do and the motor will not turn over.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
the engine was not seized when it was towed. You would also not give me any copy of the report. Said it was done on warranty companies site and once completed could not obtain a copy. Warranty company said otherwise that you submitted report verbally and that it was my fault I told you everything that I had done after the car overheated so there would be no confusion and am still being blamed. Handled poorly by warranty company, Nevada auto sales, and yourselves. I was even told the first time I spoke to anyone that you knew how to word things so the warranty company wouldn't deny the claim. So much for that...
      Sincerely,

      Jarrod *****

I am sorry that you do not believe that the engine was seized when it was tow to our shop. We can not tell you when the engine received its damage all we can tell you is that when we got the car, the timing was not right, and this will do damage to the inside of an engine. We do have all the pictures of the car the way we received it, and all we can do is turn this over to the warranty company. We are not the ones that made the diction on the coverage of your car, that was the warranty company. We can only relay the information that we have, and that is what my tech has done:

” Engine has interference when turning over by hand. Shredded timing belt in back seat. Timing marks are not aligned correctly. Engine valves are bent, possible piston damage. Recommend replacing long block. Intercooler is jb welded to turbo. Many parts missing from engine. Stop leak on radiator.”

This is the information given to the warranty company and from there they tell us if this is covered or not. We also have LOTS of pictures of the car and the changes that have been made to the car. I am not blaming any one for the changes to the car, but this can sometime make the warranty companies deny claims. I am still not understanding why you are blaming us for any of this, we did not line up the marks wrong and install a time belt wrong, we did not damage the engine, it came in on a tow truck and the engine would not turn a full revolution from the time we got the car, how is this our fault? I will see if I can attach some of the pitchers to this e-mail to support what I am saying.
