I had my 2008 ****** Tacoma towed to ColorZone Collision on 2/1/22 following a rollover accident. On 2/2/22 I received an estimate for $6322.22 from ************************* the owner. I felt the cost was too high given the value of the vehicle. He and I worked to bring the cost down to $**** by omitting some labor and parts. Satisfied with the estimate, I authorized the work. On 5/17 he informed tabs, clips, and fasteners for the bumper and grill were needed. I asked for an estimate but never received one. After numerous failed attempts to get the status of the work, I made a trip to the shop to see ***** in person. He informed me that the vehicle was almost done and advised that I should fix the roof (something we earlier omitted to save cost) to prevent eventual rusting. he said the cost would be around $300. My math was **** + ~200 (for a brake pad, clips, and fasteners) + 300 (to fix the roof) = ~$5900 which was my ballpark expectation. On 7/1/22 I received a call from ****** that my car would be ready to go just before closing at 5. I arrived at about 4:40. The bodywork looked great. I was then told that the brakes do not work and the vehicle does not start and shown the **** which was ~$7200 (~$**** more than I expected). I decided to leave at the shop because it wasnt safe to drive and I did not agree with the final charge and wanted to discuss it with *****. We spoke 7/6 I explained that was surprised and didnt authorized the ~**** extra costs and did not want to pay that amount. He became defensive, accused me of lying, and began patronizing me. I told him that I would resort to other measures to make this right and we ended the call. On 7/6 he sent an email saying he was going to charge me $75/day storage fee and NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES. That was our last contact as of 7/8/2022

responding this way it would not let me send in my side online on your email you sent over.So regarding ***************, originally vehicle was in a rollover accident and he wanted to fix without insurance.*************** had his vehicle towed to my shop where I wrote a preliminary estimate off what I could see.Upon vehicle unloaded off tow truck the brakes were not working and truck was smoking.*************** decided to fix his vehicle and I told him I can see whayt I can do about the brakes.I never included it in my preliminary estimate for we are a body shop and dont do breaks but beings vehicle was on its side fluids could have leaked out causing issue because I did add oil and antifreeze because it spilled out when it was on its side and also power steering.upon removing fenders and grille and lights I found additional damage under those parts which cannot be scene unless fenders and front end is removed.I stopped repairs and took photos and sent an explanation of what was what in the photos and *************** agreed to go ahead with repairs and I moved forward.later about a week before we were done *************** came in and I personally showed him the repairs we had done and even the additional repairs we did and this is before paint and he decided to paint the roof so he added that to the repairs as well.**************** called me and told me that he didnt know about additional repairs and why was the **** so much from where it was in the beginning and I explained that I had sent emails to him with photos and him responding back saying sounds reasonable and then me responding that I just wanted to be up front with any additional work so everyone was on the same sheet of music. then I also reminded him about the roof repair he added and explained that you add more repairs cost goes up.**************** claims I never told him a price and me and him had talked plenty of times of where we were at over the phone.I even recall telling him prices and telling him I would try to find used parts to help him on cost if necessary.I attached emails so you can see I dont just drive cost up and charge whatever these are necessary repairs and was ok with customer never once did I ever get an email saying stop dont work on it that its to much money or stop I dont know how much it is,instead I have messaages saying hurry up when is it going to be done

I handed my car over to be restored last September. The body work was subbed out to this company. The car has been with them for months with zero work being done after the original paint was stripped off. I was promised the car would be done before warm weather, as I would liked to have driven it this summer, but instead it was neglected to the point where it's now rusting. The car is in an unusable state, it's suffering for lack of care, and it's a collectible car! This is potentially leading to a devaluation of the value of the vehicle. If leaving negative reviews online and with the BBB doesn't work, I'm considering getting an attorney and suing this company they've been so derelict in their duty to provide proper service. Whatever excuse the company makes to explain this review, it will be a lie. I have zero patience left. I can't believe this place is actually in business, and doesn't have more complaints. A year out of service? Unacceptable.
