Last night my family members had to leave at 6:30 pm because "it was too cold." They could spend the night for Christmas as there is no heat on the East side of the apartment. My cat can't use that side.I havehad to move his litter box and food to a semi warm area as nowhere in the apartment heats properly. I layer blankets in all windows and at every door and entryway. I have been living here forsix months and the unit is either extremely hot or extremely cold. I have repeatedly asked Camden Interlocken for help and I am told it is "normal". Yet it is not normal,it is very dangerous. I am researchinga hotel now. It is the day after Christmas. Camden Interlocken's negligence and dishonesty has disrupted my work and left me with no home in the midst of Winter during Christmas. By ignoring my repeated pleas for help because of extreme concern I am looking for warm lodging for myself and myanimal. The unit is not habitable and I have stated this from move-in. Upon moving into the apartment on 6.8.2023 I noticed uneven window bases that the apartmenthad large cracks in the walls and the ceilingsas well as the moulding. I was told this was "normal, just thebuilding settling and happened allthetime, nothing was wrong with thefoundation" by Camden Interlocken. I then came home to the building being "shored" improperly. I repeatedly asked Camden Interlocken for information and they will not provide. Due to the weight of the falling foundation the 2 x 4 beams holding the building up are splintering. In the apartment the foundational cracks in the unit go along the ceilings and walls, everywhere. The floors are buckling and the tile in the bathroom is extremelyuneven.Since 6.8.2023 I have had an active rodentinfestation. Since moving in I have begged for help regarding the animal infestation. I have had rodents aggressively bury and unbury food and scavenge through the ceiling and walls all day and night. I do not get regular sleep here due to this.Business response

Any founded issues have been resolved by certified technicians. Any outstanding, confirmed service issues are on hold due to access limitations into the home. Camden responds with these facts:
-Camden will not refund the resident $23,000. ************** has lived in the unit and a request for all rent paid since her move-in is unreasonable and unwarranted.
-Camden strives to address maintenance issues for all customers as soon as possible; however, sometimes limited when access is restricted by the resident or an issue is deemed unsubstantiated.
-The community does have squirrels and other wildlife, and traps are set by a qualified vendor. The vendor has been prohibited access into the home on several occasions and has stated that traps may have been tampered with, which does hamper our efforts.
-In response to a heating complaint, two Camden employees most recently walked ************** unit on January 8, 2024. A temperature gun was used and a temperature of 74 degrees Fahrenheit was revealed, with the thermostat set to 72 degrees, concluding that the heat is functioning well. ************** then stated that the guest bedroom is not heating well. Upon entering the guest bedroom, they discovered that the vent was closed, and windows were cracked open. The Maintenance Supervisor corrected the problems and within 15 minutes the apartment was heated to 76 degrees. ************** was advised to keep windows closed and locked and to keep the bedroom door open to circulate heat throughout the apartment.
