I took time off work and visited the business on Tuesday 5/9/2023 after calling and confirming they offer free estimates without an appointment. I was referred by someone that told me they would be a great place to repair my 2011 *** 535i. Immediately **** didn't seem happy to be dealing with me and he proceeded to personally attack me saying that I would come back in a few years and blame them if something failed, he insulted my 1-owner well maintained very clean vehicle and called it a can of worms snd said they wouldn't want to touch it, he refused to provide me any estimate, and when I asked for a ballpark number of what it could cost to repair everything he told me $25,000. Absolutely ridiculous and I had just gotten a quote at Caliber Collision for $6k worse case scenario. He was refusing to listen and I kept telling him that his assumptions about myself and my vehicle are incorrect yet he told me that there was no once else for me to talk to. I was very upset and realized my time had been completely wasted mostly because I wasn't dressed nice and because **** didn't feel he could financially take advantage of me and overcharge me. The business should have to clarify that they might not provide an estimate under certain circumstances. I hope the owner **** will watch the security camera footage and realize **** was way in the wrong and got me very frustrated and worked up because he didn't feel like taking the time to do an estimate for a great vehicle that just needs a little cosmetic work and has never even been in a minor collision for 9 years of me owning it. I've never been disrespected so badly by a business like that and I hope this serves as a warning to other consumers that **** is not someone to be trusted and Colorado Coach Auto Body is not to be trusted if they employ someone like that and allow them to disrespect good potential customers.Business response

Hello,
I was made aware of ****************** visit to our Facility on 5/10. I was told by several of my employees that **************** was verbally abuses to my staff. Our facility specializes in color match and painting partial vehicles due to collision. We do not do complete exterior paint jobs. We are just not set up for that. We did not complete any repairs on ******************** vehicle and do not have any follow up to conduct. Since we did not complete any work, we really do not have anything to repair for him. We wish him well in finding a shop to complete the repairs. Please advise if any further follow up is necessary. Since we did not conduct any repairs, I assume this will not be attached to our BBB history. Please advise.

I am rejecting this response because: I contacted Colorado Coach to have a free estimate done as advertised on their website and after being directly referred to them by their former general manager who said they would be the best option in the area to repair my vehicle after he inspected my vehicle in-person and understand what needed to be done. I called and spoke with the receptionist that confirmed they do free estimates and she confirmed I didn't need an appointment. I arrived and explained I needed a few panels painted and blended and **** quickly told me that he wouldn't even give me an estimate because he said he knew I wasn't going to get the work done. When I said that wasn't true and what was the ballpark number he said $25,000. (The former GM that referred me quoted $6,000 the same day for the exact same work.) He said there was no one else I could speak with and he made it clear that he was judging me based on me being poorly dressed from working at home. The employees ignored me until I raised my voice and asked for help and explained how frustrated I was and how this situation felt very wrong. I was mistreated and disrespected for trying to patronize this business. Its very disappointing to hear my good character be libeled on this forum and those statements are very false, ****************. If your spelling abilities are indicative of how you run your business then my experience was sadly on ****.Please adjust the verbiage on your website to accurately reflect that you might not provide a free estimate without explanation or justification. You wasted my time and gas money and I hope this complaint will protect other consumers from being lied to, disrespected, and then unjustifiably libeled by the business owner.
