Date: May 1, 2021 thru September 20, 2021 Price: $5,900 *********************** had previously completed some interior drywall on our new-build house and requested that he be involved with quoting the landscaping job we needed done. The proposal was submitted and we decided to get the work done with him. We were to begin work in May but they did not get started until June. This process was delayed from start to finish because him and his team were not able to get up to our house with materials. The work took almost a month and a half to complete. During the process, I questioned a few things that I noticed such as drainage, grading, etc and he brushed it off and said that it would be taken care of. I had asked him to do several things throughout the process and had to continually remind him, most of the time without being answered or completely ignored. When he finally finished the project in late June, I paid him as he was finishing and ask him to come back and roll the grass. That then took several weeks for him to complete. After that was finished, I noticed sitting water, humps in the yard, dead sod and uneven draining. Some areas were completed drenched and others were dead due to not getting water. I asked him multiple times to come and fix the issues, and he agreed after coming to take a look to see how bad things were. After coming out, he never responded to any of my texts, call, emails, etc. We requested a quote from another company to complete and fix the problems this spring and they are wanting to charge the same amount to complete the work as it cost us to have the job completed in the beginning. The facts that were submitted against Hagers are inaccurate. The start date of the job was delayed due to the concrete sub-contractor hired by the homeowner. Hagers started work as soon as the concrete was completed. Hagers also provided under-ground drains (at no charge to the homeowner) to help concrete installation move along faster. After concrete was installed Hagers again went above and beyound to re-grade the areas around the concrete to provide proper drainage (at no charge to the homeowner). The landscaping installation took longer than expected due to rain. Hagers was onsite at all times, weather permitting. Hagers completed the landscaping and irrigation to the specs provided to the homeowner and the **** Upon completion of the project, there were a few time that the homeowner contacted Hagers to fix problems that were not the fault of the company yet the lack of knowledge that the homeowner had in irrigation repair. Hagers provided assistance to replace sprinkler heads that were broke by the homeowner (at no charge to the homeowner). There was then a call about repairing spots in the sod. When Hagers arrived to look at the problems with the sod, conclusion of the problem was that the dogs that the homeowner had were causing the problem by pet waste and digging. Again, Hagers provided assistance in this area by providing fertilizer to help revive the damaged sod (at no cost to the homeowner). Hagers went above what was agreed on in the original proposal. Hagers seized contact after receiving cursing phone calls and texts from the homeowner.
