We have (had) a contract for a porch for nearly $90,000. Weve paid over $48,800 for material and services and only had a $4,000 strip of concrete for four months. They ghosted us for over three weeks and did not return any calls. The project was supposed to be well underway by now and completed in July. It is now November. June 2023: Paid 5% deposit ($4,439.95) July 2023: Paid 50% Deposit ($44,399.50)Early August 2023: When they attempted to start construction, I looked up our property for permit information so I can file a complaint against their contractor license. S&R ********************** hadnt even filed a permit like they were supposed to despite stating they had the proper permits and HOA design review council (DRC) approval. *************************************** (*****) confirmed they did not file for a permit, yet they started building illegally with no intention of getting a permit or design review approval. Mid August 2023: After some back-and-forth conversations and pleas, we agreed to give them a second chance. They still can't keep a schedule or coordinate when they will show up. They've been onsite once within a two-week period. All I have now is a beam bolted to my wall. Their original plan that they were going to build from was seriously flawed denied by the building department (no surprise there). And ******* rejected the design because it didnt meet any guidelines, despite S&R Eagle stating they had approval. September 2023: Still no deck, no approved permit after months of delays. I have holes in my back yard and material all over my back yard, side yard and front driveway. October 2023: Finally got an approved permit, but no material. They haven't paid their subs and now the builders walked off the job. Police report filed with El Paso County for theft. Filed a grievance with ***** for illegal construction. I honestly think they ran out of money.

Thank you for taking the time expressing your concerns through this platform vs.reaching out to our office or our personal cell phone numbers as you have before. Since June 20th, 2023, when one of our project managers provided a free estimate to build a new deck for you guys, we have been in close contact through emails, text messages, phone calls and in person. (We have all conversations) as professional contractors will do. 
As far as your project goes, we have all material orders, photos of materials and porta potty delivered on Aug. 18th, 2023. Porta potty was dropped on the left side of your property. Materials were dropped off and brought inside of the back yard. (photos available) Plans were sent to the *** Meridian Ranch for approval and to ***** for permit.
Temporary building started after Aug. 21st, 2023, as we advised **********************, we were not able to build a permanent deck until the permit was approved in order to schedule the proper inspections. ********************* emailed the office stating the following: ("As long as we have a permit, then we can get started. Just submit the stuff to the *** as you get it, but we're not waiting on them") 
On Sep. 4th, 2023, ***** disapproved the stairs design. *********************** reviewed and approved new plans on Sep. 11th, 2023. New plans were submitted back to *** on Sep. 13th, 2023, and to ***** for 2nd approval. On Sep. 19th we received the *** approval. As we were waiting on PPRDB for final approval, material continued to arrive (door #1 was ordered and arrived at *********************** property, which she didnt want, door #2 was ordered and arrived. Due to the door being scratched,door was returned, and a new one was ordered. Keep in mind special orders are hard to find/schedule and delivered. Arrival still pending, homeowner was notified with an estimated date and time of arriving)
On Oct. 16th, 2023, a second permit was approved. ******* permit and plans in person to Mr. and *********************** knocked on their door, no answer. Left plans on the left side of their property by the rocks. (photo available) ********************** was also informed about the crew coming over to continue to work and to complete their deck on Oct. 18th, 2023. Footing/caissons inspection was scheduled and approved on Oct. 20th, 2023. The ********************* continues to order materials. On Oct. 27th, 2023, framing inspection was scheduled. We canceled the inspection around noon after *********************** called our office,firing us from the job, since the crew did not show up that morning. Crews do not show on the day of inspections since city inspectors do not have an exact time of arrival. Crews go back to the jobsite the day after inspection passes to continue working. 
**** and ******, owners of S*****R Eagle Services reached out to Mr. ***** ********************** immediately through email and phone call, to find out why ********************** called the office to cancel, when we were about to pass the framing inspection. ********************** told ****** that since we weren't paying our crews,that's why they wanted to cancel because crew did not show up, (day of framing inspection)
At this point the crew supervisor has been talking to homeowners (Mr. ***** **********************) behind our backs, complaining and demanding more money for things that haven't been completed. (photos available) Supervisor has been fired after finding out he was planning to complete their project on his own by using our license and permit. A new crew was offered to Mr. and *********************** to complete their project. Mr. ***** *********************** denied any further work from S*****R Eagle Services. At this point ***** has been notified, all inspections and permits have been cancelled. 
Mr.***** *********************** defamed our company name on every social platform even when we were still working on their project. At this point S*****R Eagle Services is no longer interested in working with Mr.***** ***********************.
Material orders, material invoices/receipts, work orders, payments to crew, photos of every step of the project are available upon request. Materials are still on site as those belong to the homeowner. If you have any further questions,please contact our office.
