      Reconstruction Experts was hired to do an investigation of our condo property by our HOA for an ongoing lawsuit. During this investigation they cut sheetrock in the ceiling in the hallway directly opposite our kitchen and also cut out part of the soffit on our patio outside of our kitchen window. It took them over 4 months to get the replacement soffit back in stock (back ordered). When the soffit came in they had to actually cut and knock out the original soffit completely. I could feel the movement in the room when the they were knocking out the original soffit and was concerned the large window would break. A few weeks after the installation small pieces of texture from my kitchen ceiling began to fall into the sink and on the floor.After living here 4 years I have never had this problem. I had a handyman come out to fix it because it was a minor problem. as a week or so went by it became worse. I called my contact, ******, at RE and asked that they please come fix this since I knew it had to be from the pounding during the installation of the soffit and hallway ceiling. He sent 2 men out who took pictures. He contacted me and said because it was not part of what they originally came to inspect they couldn't cover it and would have to invoice me and charge me to fix a problem that was created by their work in researching the pre-existing issues. He said that RE was not responsible for collateral damage caused by their work.

      Regarding my complaint ID ******* RE did come out and repair the texture on my ceiling last Friday April 1st so the issue has been resolved. Thanks, *****************

      Reconstruction Experts (RE) were hired by my *********************** (HOA) to complete renovations on my condo as part of a wider project. RE has used a series of sub-contractors on the project.Work included exterior wall replacement as well as interior repairs.There have been a series of issues that they have been unwilling to resolve, as well as very poor workmanship.1 - Cut broadband cable and didn't replace. I had to have broadband company repair.2 - Moved external HVAC unit so as to be able to complete work. On putting it back, it no longer worked. Were unable to provide any proof that it worked when they put it back, yet refused to repair / replace. Instead blaming age of unit - it worked before they moved it.3 - Poor workmanship inside unit; painting - they have now had two attempts to complete. Dry wall work is of poor standard. Agreed with Project Manager that this would be resolved but it hasn't.4 - Damaged blinds during work and replaced with some that were incorrect sizes. Came back with 'correct size blinds' however these do not match the other blinds that they installed. Refused to replace correctly - offered $120 in compensation for 5 blinds. Cost including install would be significantly more. They have not responded further.5 - Painters used my units electricity to power their tools to work on another building.6 - Damaged an external storage bench / box. Initially refused to accept blame. Haven't received check to cover cost that I am supposed to have.7 - Escalated issues with local management - unresponsive.8 - Would regularly leave lights on and at times property unlocked at end of day. No care for the property.9 - Company's legal counsel contacted me refusing to accept responsibility.10 - Local project manager consistently denies agreed punch list items after they've been agreed during 'walk-throughs' of unit.Company lacks integrity. Poor communication. All round poor business ethics.
