Full furnace/AC install in winter, December 2022. Poor workmanship, no permits pulled or inspection done by city (we didnt know at the time) AC did not work (come summer), refrigerant leak, no-call no show 6 times over the summer, some parts/ducts replaced but still not fixed. Other companies have indicated that the work done is poor quality, bad parts, not up to code. Suspect that they lied about needing roof flue replacement (other reviews on ****** said the same thing) I paid $4800 for that, as well as new hot water heater, $3650. However I am seeking refund for the furnace and AC as its likely I will need a new system and will need to hire a legitimate company to do it. Additional money to cover extra work I have needed to have done by other companies (inspection, attempt to find leak, refrigerant refill) I did not file a complaint sooner because issues with it did not become apparent until the summertime, months after install, and an entire summer 2024 of attempting to get them to come out and fix it. When they finally did fix it the summer was over and it wasnt until summer 2025 that I realized it still did not work properly. This company has operated under accuracy heating and cooling in the past, many ****** reviews all indicate the same problems. Many people paid up front and did not have work finished. My work supposedly came with a 10 year warranty on parts and labor but the company is almost impossible to get a hold of. Even if they wanted to fix it themselves I dont trust them in my home, as they proved they dont care about code or safety.Initial Complaint

I am filing this complaint on behalf of my parents, ****** and *** ********, who contracted with Jurassic Home Services (*** *******) on February 27, 2025, for HVAC installation services. They paid a $5,000 deposit the same day. The contract included a 7-day cancellation period, which they exercised on March 1, 2025. Cancellation was acknowledged by Mr. ******* on March 5, 2025.Between March 1 and mid-****** Mr. ******* exchanged multiple texts with my father, repeatedly assuring that a certified refund check would be issued and later claiming it had been mailed. On March 18, he stated via text that the check was in the mail. As of today, no refund has been received.A formal demand letter was sent via certified mail on April 16 with a deadline of April 30. That deadline has passed with no refund or communication. The invoice listed no contractor license number, and I was unable to find a license under *** ******* or ********************** in ******, ***********, or Adams County records. We are seeking a full refund of the $5,000 deposit and resolution of this issue.Initial Complaint

I prepaid Jurassic Air, LLC a Cashiers check for $6500 to replace my flue from furnace to roof, new exhaust cap, tune up furnace and AC on June 13, 2024. The work was set to be done July 2nd, but the contractor cancelled coming out with a text sent at 0956 pm on July 1st. I asked them to text to set up a new date I had a free phone that was turned off July 1st due to lack of government funding. I had been getting texts and e-mails from the business with no problem. I texted several times with no response from the business for a full week. Meanwhile I researched the business and found multiple complaints with BBB and Yelp. They overcharge for the work, want to be paid in full in advance and drag their feet on doing substandard work. I texted them on July 8th, 2024 saying I wanted to cancel the job and get refund. He said you cant cancel after 7 days, even though the work wasnt even scheduled for 3 wks after payment was made. I mailed a letter by certified mail stating my intent to be reimbursed in full or I would file with BBB and go to Small Claims court. Please help me get a refund - no work has been completed. I am a senior on a fixed income - that was over 3 mo of Social Security payments for me..Business Response

I purchased a furnace through Jurassic Air, paying $6150 for the equipment and installation.Prior to doing so, I had read some negative reviews, especially regarding permitting and licensing, so I asked if the owner if he pulled required city permits on his furnace installs. He looked me in the eyes and said yes. Six months later, after numerous calls to Jurassic Air asking about inspections that never happened, he has never responded. In checking with the City of ******, I discovered that no permit was pulled for a furnace installation. As a result, I must find another contractor who would be willing to check the work and certify, all at extra $ to **** have called Jurassic Air eight times to inquire about this, and each time the response was that the owner would get back to me. No call ever ca**** have now engaged another company, who will be charging me first for an inspection, and then for any further work to bring the furnace up to code, and finally an extra charge for the permit.I regret having hired Jurassic Air, but trusted the word of the owner.Business Response

***************************, Jurassic Air installed a defective air conditioning unit on August 2, 2023. On July 27, 2023 he convinced my Dad, ********************* who was 87 years old at the time that he needed to replace his air conditioning unit . My Dad, paid $5,294.45 in full for a new unit since ****** stated that it needed replaced due to age, unable to get freon and phase of out his current unit. The installation was less than satisfactory and for the last 8 months I have attempted to have the fan motor replaced. I have left numerous phone messages *************) with his female assistant/receptionist and also emails to ********************************** and ******************************* One of his employees came and fixed the freon leak after installation and also removed the fan motor however it is yet to be replaced. There has been no attempt on his behalf to rectify this matter. This is senior citizen abuse...Business Response
Date: 04/17/2024
We were unaware of the unsatisfactory of the installation up until today. After ***** talked with ************************* daughter, they were put on the schedule right away. I apologize for the miscommunication, however to ensure that the air conditioning unit is working functionally the weather has to be at least 69 degrees. When we first went out to remove the motor, it was in November. We took the motor to warranty it out with the manufacture. We already had notes in the profile to install the motor in the spring. I assure you, we had no intention of senior abuse. If you ever have any questions please feel free to give our office a call.Customer Answer

In addition to these photos taken recently, should you require email correspondences over the last 8 months, I will gladly provide them for you.
When should we expect new fan motor replaced and shoddy workmanship rectified? Temps will be above 69 next week.
Customer Answer
Date: 04/18/2024
****** has known about the shoddy workmanship, **********, defective fan motor etc since installation.
I have attached some of the email messages however there were even more phone messages from myself, my dad *** and my husband ****.

We hired ****** with Accuracy Heating and Air (now known as Jurassic Air) to move our furnace to a different location in the basement and replace our standard water heater that failed for a tankless water heater in October of 2022. After about a month, the water heater started leaking and we had a large pool of water. We contacted ****** via phone and email for over a month without any responses. Finally, we had 5 other contractors (2 HVAC companies and 3 plumbers) come out to assess the work so that we could contact ****** with this information. After getting quotes, we found that the work had not been done to code. There had never been any permits pulled and there were grave errors in both the furnace and the hot water heater installation. We told ****** of these issues and stated that we no longer felt comfortable with his employees doing the work, we wanted him to fix the issues and upon finishing they needed to be inspected by a county inspector. He would not agree to this. After a few unprofessional phone calls with ****** where he swore at us, yelled at us, and told us that he would not agree to our requests of fixing the issues with the county inspector protection, or that we would request a full refund, ****** again stopped responding to emails and phone calls. In February of 2023, we had new contractors come out to fix the issues, which ended up costing more than what ****** originally charged us. The hot water heater issues included the following (per the master plumbers: no pressure release valves, no service clean out valves, no condensate line, improper gas line installation that is not to code, the *** piping is not combustion rated which is a fire hazard and carbon monoxide hazard the *** will eventually melt allowing the exhaust to stream into the home and allows opportunity for combustion, fitting for condensate line is broken, shark bite fittings are prone to failure and are not routinely used by Master Plumbers and should be replaced.Business Response

On October 31, 2022, I issued a check made out to ***************************, the owner of Jurassic Air, formerly Accuracy (believe previous name was), for $13,000. I received an invoice that broke the work down by water heater, heat pump etc. The water heater was installed and works well, and the workers are fantastic. However, the heat pump items were never installed and were constantly re-scheduled over and over again. This has wasted my time and my time from work since I had allowed for pounding or a power outage and I work from home. This money also has a cost such as interest. I would like to receive damages and a refund. I want a refund of the heat pump portion. The water heater is fine. It is invoice number is 896.Business Response

I am a 91-year-old widow. I had purchased a furnace from Accuracy Heating and Cooling without any issues. When my air conditioner failed to cool the house sufficiently at the end of August, we called Accuracy to check it out. ****** came and told us that the ** was failing and needed to be replaced. He pointed out that if we continued to run the **, it could freeze up and damage the furnace. At the time, I was unwell and temperatures were predicted to be in the mid-90s for the next several days, so the heat was a concern. ****** pushed for a quick decision so we agreed to buy a Trane. He assured me that he could have it the next day and he offered a 3% discount for paying in advance by check instead of a credit card. I gave him a check for $6111. The next morning he called and told me that the warehouse did not actually have a Trane in stock and they didn't expect to receive any in the near future. He offered to provide a Rheem instead. I told him that he would need to speak with my daughter about it. She told him that we were willing to accept a *****, but only if we received a refund for the difference in cost. ****** insisted that $6111 was the price for the Rheem, but finally he did agree to apply the 3% check refund to the price. He calculated that he would owe me $485 and he agreed to send a check for that amount. My daughter asked him when we would get that check and he said he would get it into the mail early the next week. His team installed the Rheem on Sept. 2, but I never received the check he promised. My daughter has called them several times and been told that ****** was unavailable for a variety of reasons (in the field, death in the family, pink eye). She has left messages with no response. I got a letter announcing a change of name for the company, but no check and no mention of the refund.Business Response
Date: 10/28/2022
Accuracy Heating and Cooling did talk to the customer about changing the unit to a Rheem to get the unit installed faster because Trane didn't have the unit in stock. When our company tried to refund the $485 the customer's daughter called to tell us that they weren't accepting it because she felt like it should be more. We would be happy to refund the customer the agreed upon amount of $485. They customer did receive a letter about a name change because our name is too close to another HVAC company and we have decided to go through with the name change, it had nothing to do with the customer's refund.Customer Answer

My complaint # is ********. I received a message from ***** on Nov.9, advising me to contact Accuracy Heating and Cooling/Jurassic Air to inform them that I would accept the resolution of a check for $485. My daughter called them the next day and reached *****'s voicemail. She left a message to say that *************************** would accept the resolution of a check for $485. She called back on Nov. 11 and spoke to *****. ***** confirmed that she had received the voicemail and my daughter repeated that I would accept a check for $485. ***** said she would speak with ****** and call back. She did call back and she told my daughter that ****** would write the check, but it would not go into the mail until Monday, due to the federal holiday. When I had not received the check yesterday (11/16), my daughter called again. ***** wasn't there, but the sub seemed to be familiar with the situation. She said she would text the office manager and have her return the call. We have received neither check nor call and I have no reason to expect either.
