I have a contract dated 8/13/21. Two bathroom remodels. Permit issued 1/21/22 I have paid the company $26,000.00 and paid about ******* for materials they were supposed to furnish. The work of one bathroom was started but left unfinished. The other bathroom didnt get started even though I paid $5000.00 towards the start of the second project. The company refuses to answer any attempts I make to contact them. Wont answer phone calls or emails. They have left a mess of materials and garbage on my property.

Thank you ***************************** *********************** me 1 message Message has attachments Aug 8 Everlast Construction Hello ***** and Gidon, On January 25, 2018 your project manager ******************* came to my home, I explained to him I wanted the bathroom completely remodeled and the plumbing pipes checked and replaced under my home. I paid him a check of $550.00 for a plumbing inspection, *** never gave me a copy of the plumbing inspection though I asked multiple times. After I complained about not receiving the inspection report, *** brought **** from your company to inspect my pipes and **** assured me all pipes had to be replaced, they had me sign a contract to replace the pipes, I have included a copy of that change order below. I had to have a home inspection done last Saturday. The inspector went under the house to inspect the pipes and plumbing. I was quite surprised and shocked when he informed me the *** piping that was installed by Everlast Construction is illegal and not to code. Please see his findings below. He told me improper repairs and materials were used. He also told me the workers left debris that needs to be removed. When I hired your company I was told the pipes would all be changed out to copper. ****** came out twice due to issues with pipes under house and the workers n

We engaged Everlast Construction for a home remodel in November 2020. The project was scheduled to be completed by March 2021 and included remodeling in five areas of our home. To date, the project remains incomplete and the work that was performed thus far is unsatisfactory. While the biggest concern is that the contractor broke cables in the foundation after we paid to have our concrete professionally scanned, even as to the remainder of the project the quality of the workmanship is completely unacceptable. For example, a like for like remodel was planned for our master bathroom. Everlast claims to be finished with the project with tiles with uneven cuts, a crack in a glass tile, and with numerous gaps in the grout lines. Even after having a worker came to regrout the grout lines, there are a significant number of gaps, at least one more than an inch long. They hired a handyman to paint in one of the other areas of our house. The paint job was horrible with traces of paint left everywhere, including green paint on a white wall, poorly taped off areas, and they destroyed my existing blinds without replacing them. Our kitchen, which they demo'd in February is still not finished. We have several cabinets with no handles and drawers with no pulls, numerous nicks and bruises on the cabinets which were painted prior to the new counter installation. These issues are just the tip of the iceberg as there are myriad more. We filed a complaint with the ***** which was settled in mediation - a core stipulation requiring Everlast to provide competent workers to repair the damage they did and complete the project to industry standards and our satisfaction. Yet, Everlast refuses to comply with its own stipulation. As such, we have to reinstate our complaint at the ***** and are also filing this complaint with the BBB as we do not want any other homeowner to experience the horror that we have experienced throughout this remodel.

      Business response

To Whom It May ************************ you for your email. ***************** hired Everlast to perform construction work on her premises. Everlast has been performing the work in a professional manner and according to industry standards.  Everlast stands by the quality of its services.

***************** unreasonably demanded to decide which of the Everlast team will perform the work on her Premises. Everlast has been trying to explain to Mrs. ************************* is not a contractor, nor does she have any construction knowledge, and therefore she simply cannot decide which individual from the Everlast team will perform the work on her project. ***************** hired Everlast as the general contractor, it is therefore Everlast that decides which individual with what skills will perform the work.

Everlast has repeatedly been asking ***************** to allow Everlast to return to work and complete the project pursuant to the parties' agreement. However, as of November 12th, 2021, ***************** has been refusing unreasonably to allow Everlast to return to work.

Please do not hesitate to contact me directly with any further questions. Hopefully ***************** will allow Everlast to complete the work for which it was hired.

      Sincerely

      Ariel

      Complaint: 16152097

I am rejecting this response because:  I filed a complaint at the **** based on the issues with EVERLASTs workmanship.  As a condition of settlement, Everlast agreed and stipulated that the two workers, ************ and ************ would not return to perform any corrective work or remaining work on the house.  Based on that stipulation, we agreed to settle the complaint and proceed with the work.  Everlast refuses to honor the agreement we reached at the ****.  I have not prevented Everlast from performing at my house, rather, I am enforcing the agreement we reached at the ****, which precludes ************ and ************ from working at my house.  Everlast has other employees it can assign (and I was told would be assigned). Or, it can subcontract them work out.

      Sincerely,

      *************************
