Purchased a new rack and pinion, control arms, lift kit, tires and wheels from Tire and Wheel in ******** in October of 2023. Had nothing but issues, having returned for them to repair mistakes at least 5 times. In March of 2024, the rack and pinion failed and had to be replaced while my son was in **************. According to the technician at *********, the rack and pinion was installed incorrectly and the seals failed. Also, the rack and pinion that was used was not a certified replacement part. 2 weeks later his right upper control arm failed and his left is now failing. I called Tire and Wheel Zone to discuss what could be done and was told that a manager would call me back, but that never happened.Initial Complaint

Don't take truck in for suspension work. Went in for 35" tires to upsize from 33" tires on my Silverado ****. Was sold a leveling kit for $400, they installed same day said 1 hours *** so I waited, took about 3 hours. Then I got the truck, and shocks were ***ed out, they wrote on the receipt that they "recommended new shocks" asked for quote they wanted $850 for Rancho Shocks which are $250. Upper control arms were ***ed out, hitting the bump stop. They mentioned nothing about this. I decided to install fox shocks, that I got for a cheaper price. Later drove to **********, all highway miles. *** off on exit and drove over the bridge where my control arm snapped. (Pictures attached). Called shop immediately explaining what happened and got the response "that's not good". Was given a number to send pictures to, never got a response after several attempts. Had to take into shop in ********** to fix all component affected. Payed $1600 total to repair the damages. Let owner know about the damages and still no reply. Then went into shop to try to get answers and was told they wrote I needed new shocks in receipt even though the control arms are the ones that snapped. Zero accountability.Initial Complaint

Purchased a set (4) tires from this establishment . Told the tires had a warranty of 40, 000 miles Tires barely got 21,000 miles. I returned to the business and was told the warranty expired after two years. The average person drives between 10-12 thousand miles a year. I would have to drive 20,000 + miles a year in two years. I'm 74 years old. I feel they lied to me. A warranty of 40,000 miles should get me almost 4 years of tread life. This business should not be telling people the tires will last 40,000 miles, BUT the warranty is only for Two years. Whether you drive 40 miles a year or 10,000 miles a year, a warranty should not have a time limit, certainly not two years. Purchased the tires Jan 23, 2019 returned in April of 2021. That's 27 months of driving, tires showing wear bars. They asked me if I had the car NON-OP. No I drove my car normally.Initial Complaint

July 5, 2021 we took my 2012 Camry for routine oil change Tune up & wheel alignment check. My front end was abit shaky since the 1st time I took it to them 2/6/2020 to have it checked. They stated my wheels were worn on the inside & I would need to have New tires all the way around followed by alignment. So they did the job charging me $49.99 for alignment. Because of covid the car was not driven much. Forward to 2021. We took our car in for routine maintenance oil change & tune-up. We mention we needed the front end inspected again & they said they checked all we needed was wheel alignment again. So that was done. However the car continued to shake when braking. We live36 miles from Tire & Wheel Zone so we took it in to a closer qualified shop. They showed us the whole front end was unsafe & was for a long time. We had to pay for replacement of 2 front strut assys, Sway bar links, other alignment, & resurfacing rotors. for $962.44 Wheel & Tire says no refunds. R Mechanics licensed?Initial Complaint

I paid 1740$ IN FULL for a set of wheels and tires from TIRE and WHEEL ZONE in Stockton ca on Saturday may 29th. I was told the wheels would be there the following Saturday, I called back to check in multiple times and they repeatedly kept telling me they don't know when they'll be arriving. After a few weeks went by i called back they told me they couldn't get the wheels from their supplier I asked for a refund on June 22, 2021 and they told me it would arrive in 3-5 business days. it is now July 1st 2021 and I still haven't received a refund nor a response back from any employee or the owner. I believe he's trying to Rob me and keep my hard earned money i can't drive my car because I have no wheels for it and can't afford another set. They even played games and told me to call after hours and that the owner would answer and of course he did not. These guys can't operate like this and im sure it has happened to other people like myself, please don't let them take advantage of others.
