I ordered 2 pair of shoes from Italeau on 6/13/23 for $327.76. They never arrived. I contacted the company on 7/27/23. They advised that they were having operational issues and would begin shipping in 3 weeks. I waited until 10/4/23 and requested they cancel my order and refund my money. They responded that Italeau was foreclosed on and that I should file a claim with my credit card company, which I did. My claim was denied due to filing past the 60 day window. I have emailed Italeau and requested they refund my purchase but I doubt they will comply so I am filing this BBB complaint and hoping you can help me get my money back. I purchased three pairs of boots from Italeau in September 2022 (one style, three sizes). I returned two of three pairs, sizes 8.5 and 9.0. I was notified almost a year later in May 2023 of a refund for one of two of these pairs. I replied requesting the status of my second refund, and was notified of processing delays, backlogs and the like. Now almost 5 months later, I reached out again requesting my refund. I'm simply seeking the money I'm owed. How is this lawful? I'm attaching supporting documentation (proof of my orders, and the most recent chain with the company about the refunds). Italeau Order #***** On 11/27/22 I ordered a pair of water proof booties. Upon receiving my order on 1/12/23, I noticed a tear in the leather and a very strong chemical odor. I returned the boots to Italeau. My return order was received by an Italeau facility in ****, ** on 1/30/23 at 10:28am. On 3/10/23 and 06/14/23 I was told my replacement boots were still delayed or on backorder due to issues at the factory. On 6/22/23 I was told my replacement boots would arrive in the US by 6/30/23 and would ship out to me by 7/7/23. As of today 10/17/23 the last nine emails I've sent to Italeau Support requesting help with this issue have each gone unanswered. As of today10/17/23 I have not received my replacement boots or a refund of my payment. I have been communicating by email so I would have a record... my emails are not being acknowledged as I have received no response to my requests for a product update or a full refund if product is no longer available.Thank you.Initial Complaint

Placed an order for shoes 12/28/2022. Was told item was back ordered until end of January 2023. Contacted company multiple times since being told there was supply issues and it would ship soon. Last company responded is July saying it would ship from warehouse soon. My order has since disappeared from website and I can no longer look up status. Neither phone numbers work and emails are no longer being responded to. I have contacted my bank, but since I waited so long with the delayed shipments and supply and factory issues, it is passed the point they will allow a dispute.Initial Complaint

I ordered a pair of boots from Italeau on January 15, 2023. I was immediately charged for the purchase but was told the boots were on back order due to manufacturing difficulties. I corresponded with their support group several times (every other month or so) requesting an update. I was told each time that they were experiencing staffing and operational issues at their factory and was provided with updated timeframes when I could expect delivery. I have kept the emails from them.I have never received the boots and Italeau support no longer responds to my inquiries. I see now on their website that the boots are available again but at a higher price. I would like to receive a full refund or receive the boots. Thanks so much for your assistance.Initial Complaint

Jun 21st 2023 I ordered two pairs of shoes from Italeau. I bought a $250 gift card which I used for the transaction and I still paid $55.23 for the remaining balance. I received a confirmation of my order (#*****). About a month later, on July 24th, I sent an email to customer service asking about my order because I never received an email that my package shipped. On July 25th, they answered back saying they apologized, they were experiencing delays and they were expecting everything to be fixed within 3 weeks. So, I waited. Then months pass and on September 15, I send another email asking where my order is. No response. Then I send another email Sept. 27th, asking again where my package is. I ask them to be honest with me and tell me if the order will not go through and that if they cannot fulfill my order, I will expect a refund. I attach evidence if my purchase, the emails I have sent and evidence that there is no tracking information. It is now Oct. 9th and I have gotten no response. I tried to call their number twice and it just rings and hangs up on me. So at this point I think Ive been scammed.Initial Complaint

I have ordered twice previously from this company the QUALITY of the shoes was excellent but the delivery time far longer than promised. (like months) Then in January 2023 I ordered a pair of waterproof booties for ****** and they never came. After complaining I was told that they were back ordered, were coming, to be patient. Nothing. Then silence to my complaints. The customer service number rings and goes to music then cuts off. No one responds to the ********************************** email. I am amazed that people keep buying their shoes and apparently SOME people actually receive their merchandise? the BBB needs to investigate here. sounds like maybe money laundering or something else is going on.Initial Complaint

On 1/16/23 I placed and order with Italeau **** for a pair of leather boots. My order number is #*****, the Invoice ID is *****************, the item ordered was Waterproof Foliana Booties, size 8/38.5, color Nut. Price paid was $169.58. At the time of purchase I was told that the boots were on backorder and would ship 4 to 6 weeks from purchase. After not hearing anything about this order for several weeks, I contacted customer support on 2/19/23 for an update. Italeau responded and told me boots would ship by 3/10/23. The boots still did not ship so I contacted again 3/19/23, again on 3/21/23. Italeau responded on 3/21/23 and said item was still delayed, please wait just a few more weeks. I contacted customer support again on 5/26/23 and again on 5/30/23. Italeau responded on 5/31/23 and again said the shipment was expected and delivery was just a few weeks away. Item still did not ship, contacted Italeau again on 7/25/23 to receive an update. On 7/25/23 Italeau responded with the same response of just a few more weeks but this time said that I could request a refund. On 8/2/23 I responded and asked to be refunded in full. I never received a response or a refund. I contacted again on 9/18/23 to inquire about the refund/status of the order and have not received a response. My inquiries and tone have always remained very respectful and there is no reason for the company to fail to respond.I have to tried to dispute the charges with both my bank and Paypal which I used to make the purchase but the dispute was denied because the purchase was made so many months ago. I trusted this company for all of those months when they assured me just a few more weeks, now I don't have any way to resolve the issue since they have stopped responding to my inquiries.Initial Complaint
