My furnace is making some loud noise in my garage. I called TL Services to fix it. Their service technician came on Oct. 10th. I am out for my son's field trip but my wife is home to talk to the technician. The technician turn on the furnace and can not find the noise. He assess the furnace and change out a control box. He asked for $480. My wife paid him. I came back and found the noise is still present. I notified the technician immediately. He acknowledged that the noise came from a different part of the furnace and he needed to buy that part. 2 weeks went by, after a couple text in between, he claimed that he can not find the part and can not fix my furnace.Since my furnace issue was not remedied, I asked him to return the furnace to its original state and refund me the money. He does not agree.I compromised and told him I will pay him for assessment ($95) and he only have to put the furnace back to its original state. He does not agree.I compromised and told him I will pay him $135 (the amount he claimed to make after he paid for the control box). He does not agree. This is where our conversation stopped. Now, the loud noise still there. I paid him $480. In addition, I smell gas when I turn on the furnace. I can not use my furnace. I want to have a refund of $480 because he never fix my problem.Business response

The story this customer has described ,has one key detail left off by customer.Upon arrival at his residence,we found the spark ignition module short cycling due previous company installing incorrect fan relay/*******************.There was absolutely no noise happening or any mentioning of it by customer at the time of the scheduled appointment.We gave home owner the option of replacing the entire furnace (partly due to age) or to replace just a faulty part and possibly locating correct fan relay/******************* (which after the extensive search was found to be no longer available due the age of the equipment).Part of our company policy in cases like that is ,if the customer changes his mind within 30 days of service and decides to replace his furnace,we would include the money he paid for the repair in the estimate of replacing his furnace (replacement price was given to customer before the repair took place).Now customer demand partial refund and disregard the original agreement.We are still willing to include his repair charge in the original furnace replacement coast even after more then 30 days has passed.
