I had a medical emergency last year while I was out of town. I received a bill from emergency services where they had a link to a portal where I can enter my insurance information- so I did. I then got a bill from Cal Coast Credit Services saying I never paid. I let them know what happened and I had to toggle back and forth from insurance, to emergency services to them. I spoke with Legal Manager, *****************, on April 27,2023 where he was more than willing to help and that although it wasnt regular practice for them to file a claim with the insurance, he would take care of it and that if I didnt hear from him is because it was solved. I have an email string where he even asked me for my insurance information. Five months later, I get a call from one of their reps asking for payment. I was surprised and told her what had happened. I get a very aggressive call from ***************** denying we had a conversation and that I still owed the money. He was incredibly rude and loud.The representative let me know he never documented our call in April or noted any conversations we had. This is extremely unprofessional and an enormous lack of empathy. I sincerely hope that any agencies doing business with them reconsider due to their lack of professionalism and follow through.

Believe it or not, it started off as a pleasant experience with a credit collector....and then it was NOT pleasant anymore. Beware of people who seem personable and reasonable in the beginning to con you, because if you have an unforeseen delay or problem with complying with a debt, they will not be reasonable or pleasant anymore. It is very unfortunate that in these days and times, collectors are still using STRONG ARM TACTICS, BULLYING AND THREATENING to get money from you. Your best bet is to let the legal chain unfold and deal with any court owed payments to the courts directly, as you will at least be at eased they will not harass, threaten liens against you and your property or yell and belittle you into payments. The courts will help you and you will not lose your mind looking for a way to complain, so someone will take notice. If this company has been in business for 64 years, it has gone down due to key personnel and should think highly of replacing them to keep their STELLAR REPUTATION intact...they should be rated a (D-) in 2021-2022.
