I purchased -BEHR PREMIUM PLUS Interior Eggshell Enamel **************** Ultra Pure White, 18.9L, on June 23/2025 (tinted to color Whipped Cream)and an additional 3 gallons- 2 x -BEHR PREMIUM PLUS Interior Eggshell Enamel **************** Ultra Pure White, 3.76L (tinted Whipped Cream) on June 25/2025 1 x - BEHR PREMIUM PLUS Interior Eggshell Enamel **************** Ultra Pure White, 3.76L (Whipped cream) on June 28/2025 All paint was purchased at the ********** in ********, *********I applied the first 5 gallon paint the same day as purchased, with proper technique, and preformed all necessary prep work. The paint did not cover after 2 full coats. That is when I purchased an additional 2 gallons, on June 25/25 and finally one more gallon on June 28/2025.I've never had an issue with **** paint in the past. It was always a pleasure to work with. It seems they have changed their product, without notifying the customer. I never ended up completing this project to my satisfaction and the paint still has not covered a previously light beige wall.I would like a refund. We regret that the customer had an unfavorable experience with one of our products. **** has in place a comprehensive process, including a toll-free customer service line, to address any issues or concerns that our customers may have. We have researched our database to confirm whether the customer contacted us prior to the submission of the complaint, and we have no record of ever being notified of the alleged issue.
**** takes its responsibilities to its customers seriously and is committed to resolving this matter. To that end, this matter has been assigned to a Claims Representative who will contact the customer directly, using the contact information provided in your letter, and address his concerns.

Purchased Behr semi transparent stain to use on concrete, 4 gallons. Installed exactly as directions required. Color is horrible and uneven. I sent Behr picture. **** says stain must be removed. ******* says it will cost $1225. To remove from 25x25 area. We appreciate your notification regarding this complaint. Based on the Customers Statement of the Problem provided in your letter, it appears that the customer contacted **** previously regarding her experience with the product. We searched our system and did not find any record under the customers name provided. However, we found a record associated with the customers telephone number provided, but its under a different name. As a result, this matter has been assigned to a Claims Representative who will contact the customer and address her concerns.

Not sure where to start with all the issues Ive had. First go around paint peeled, chipped and cracked. The areas painted were 25x45, 30x30, 25x25, 10x40 and 20x20. This was a big disappointment for me after prepping everything, painting 3 coats and seal coating everything 4 times. Alot of time and effort for the issues to happen on each location it was painted. So I contacted **** they apologized and were very nice. **** gave me replacement paint for my entire project and sent me primer to put over the old paint. Couple of the areas held up but the 25x45 pad got bubbles under the paint when it rained for 4 days straight. Now that pad is ruined. Contacted behr back and explained what happened. They sent me to the claims department. Once to claims department I was assigned to a gentleman named *****. Again a very nice person just like everyone who you speak to on the phone. He asked for a paint chip sample and tons of receipts. I produced what I had. I asked ***** if **** could pay a professional contractor to prep the surface for the new paint. He said send in an estimate and he would submit up the chain of command. That was denied and now my entire project is on hold because they are waiting to test my paint chip. This is very frustrating because when you look at the pad you see paint chips and the a completely ugly pad.Business Response

Dear Better Business Bureau Representative:
We are writing in response to your letter dated November 4, 2023, regarding the above referenced complaint filed with your office by a Behr consumer. Behr takes its responsibilities to its customers seriously and strives to ensure that all its customers are satisfied with the products they purchase from Behr. To that end, Behr has had in place comprehensive processes to address any issues or concerns that customers may have regarding Behrs products.
Our records indicate that on October 16, 2023, the customer contacted ****************************** because he was having an issue with the Behr product bubbling and peeling again,after being assisted by **** previously. On this date, the customers new claim was assigned to a Claims Representative who contacted the customer and requested the information necessary to review the issue in question and provide him with a resolution. This included the request of peeling samples for analysis. The peeling samples were received on October 25th and were immediately submitted to Behrs R&D Laboratory for analysis. Behrs analysis of peeling samples can take about two weeks to complete. A status update was provided to the customer via telephone by Behr Claims Representative on October 30th and again on November 3rd.
At the time of receipt of your letter, the results of the peeling sample analysis were pending. Since then, the analysis has been completed. As a result, on November 7th, the Claims Representative contacted the customer by phone, offered him assistance and resolved his claim. It is our understanding that the customer was very satisfied with the resolution of his claim.

I recently prepped and painted the upstairs of my newer home with newly purchased Behr Paint. (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, family room, and stairs) The paint is peeling off in multiple rooms and surfaces.Business Response

We are writing regarding the notice we received concerning Better Business Bureaus Complaint ID No.: ********. **** is aware of this complaint and has been in contact with the Claimant to discuss her concerns.
The Claimant contacted ****************** on May 27, *************** her concerns that the Behr paint that was applied to the interior of her home began peeling shortly after application.
The Claimant provided information that **** requested for us to better understand what might have caused the unexpected loss of adhesion. Although,the Claimant has been refunded for the Behr paints used on her home, she has requested assistance beyond the warranty stated on the products label.
It is Behrs hope that every customer feels that they have been treated fairly. **** has recently attempted to contact the Claimant by telephone and email in further effort to reach an amicable resolution of this matter.

**** advised as part of the claim process to send a quote for cost to repair. The quote from the professional paint company to repair/fix issue is $7,000. It is not just replacing the cans of paint at this point. Using this product has brought damage to my home.Business Response

We are writing regarding the recent notice we received concerning Better Business Bureaus Complaint ID No.: ********. More specifically, we are responding to your notice that this complaint remains open,and the Claimant was not satisfied with Behrs response.
In our previous communication dated July 26, 2023, we had indicated that we had attempted to contact the Claimant by telephone to further discuss her request for assistance. **** had some questions regarding the scope of work included in her estimate and the information provided by the Claimant to substantiate her request for assistance. For example, the estimate includes surfaces that were not shown in the photos or videos provided by the Claimant.
Unfortunately, the Claimant did not return Behrs calls and only sent an email asking Behr to make an offer. In response, **** has sent another email to the Claimant. **** is still working toward reaching an amicable resolution of this claim.

On 06/26/23 I purchased ************ PRIMER GAL $29.98 BEHR PPE LATEX PRIMER 436 126 OZ ************ CABINET-TRIM $52.98 BEHR CAB AND TRIM INT SG UPW **** 1G I have since noticed significant issues with the paint quality. Despite proper application, the paint on the cabinets have shown signs of peeling and chipping. I had chosen the specific paint color and finish for the cabinets after careful consideration, with the expectation that the final product would meet the highest standards of quality. I have attached photographs of the affected areas for your reference. I am not satisfied and request a refund. I purchased (7) 5 gallon ********** of **** Paint to paint my front walkway, basket ball court and concrete pad. Prepped everything beforehand and painted those areas. After painting I seal coated them too. This paint peeled almost immediately and looks awful. Followed all directions and waited the stated amount of time to use. Behr’s products after being applied to two bedrooms in my home two weeks ago have left my family with constant respiratory irritation, headaches, and severe discomfort from off gassing smells that will not subside. Customer service has been kind enough to call and empathize and offer a refund, but that truly does nothing to correct the situation as my family particularly my young children’s health have been affected.Business Response

Everything in the response is accurate. But it fails to mention that the steps to alleviate the issues I received were to open a window and run a fan. They offered a product to apply over it which I’m fairly sure has the make up of the product already on my walls and not going away so one could imagine why I want nothing to do with products from the company anymore. 3 weeks have passed since paint was applied and there is very little improvement in the overwhelmingly strong chemical odor and mine and my family’s health and comfort has been greatly affected by this. 4 days after spending my life’s savings on a home this is what I had to deal with. I’ll send the wet samples and batch numbers under the cans. But as I keep repeating, the issue has not changed. The Behr representative told me their products take 30 days to fully cure. There’s no mention of this anywhere and if this in fact true, then Behr has an obligation to warn consumers of this beforehand. I was also asked for a quote from a contractor and how much I’m asking for to remedy the issue. I’m not really sure of this yet. I’m not looking for anything other than help to remove this odor from my Children’s bedrooms and the minute I made a BBB complaint all empathy and kindness from the company towards my issue has ended. My children have been unable to use their rooms for over 3 weeks and my home has a odor that makes us unwell and won’t go away. I’ll send what you’re asking, but please help me get rid of this smell your product has damaged my home with.
