This company is a rip off. They simply do not perform in a timely manner and held up our escrow closing. I paid for 2 rush orders at $200 each on top of the high cost of the resale certificate but still they could not get the paperwork done. I want my $400 back but good luck getting it. The escrow company that handled our transaction said this is a common problem with ***************************** using *************.com. And worse, it as the only option we had as homeowners has to get a resale certificate. I reported the actions of ************ and Navigate throughout the entire ******************* in hopes of getting this type of price gouging for poor work to stop. Literally homeowners are held hostage during a home closing.Review from Robert S

This firm ***************** documents, such as resale packages, legally required when property within a common interest community is sold. The service they provide is to keep the documents up-to-date, which they in turn sell to homeowners for $160. Then they add $27 for an archive fee, which is actually what the $160 is for, plus $9.95 for a credit card convenience fee. ****** Statutes give them 10 days to make the delivery, which really is only a couple of keystrokes on their computer system. If you want the documents faster than 10 days, they charge $100 extra, plus another $9.95 credit card convenience fee. Essentially, they drag out the delivery to the statutory maximum in order to extract an extra $100. Legal? Yes. Ethical? No. Why am I writing this? If you're an HOA board member and considering doing business with ******************, do your fellow homeowners a favor and find a better company. There is only one form that requires any input from a live person and that's the Certificate of Resale Receipt, which any real estate agent can make, for free, in about 2 minutes. Most of us would have no problem paying the $160 because real estate law requires up-to-date and complete documentation, but the extra $146.90 is extortion.Review from Laurie M

Ditto what others are saying. Company is charging hundreds of dollars for a document that the seller could provide with a screenshot. It is really criminal. I am told the homeowners association is who contracts with them. Well, shame on the home owners associations who refuse to send an email stating...."all paid up, zero balance". This is a form of price gouging and the sellers have no choice at closing, but to pay. It's like ******. Horrible.Review from David L

They sold themselves to stupid condo management companies. This group has caused more delayed closings than all the other companies I have dealt with last 20 years combined. Just a terrible terrible execution of an idea.Review from Evelyn L

Homewise is horrible. Horrible website, no customer service, exorbitant fees. If your HOA uses this company be prepared to babysit the process and do the follow-up.Review from Kris H

There's not one positive review here, and it's for a reason. Like others, I can't get the docs directly through my HOA, so paid the HomeWise fee and waited for delivery on the promised date. I got nothing. I called the phone number, was promised a follow-up e-mail on the status. I got nothing. My buyers and I have waited over a week for the docs, and HomeWise is holding up my sale. Others have called it a scam, and it is. I've notified the appropriate people in my HOA about this. NO ONE should use HomeWIse.Review from Brianna C

What this company does should be illegal! HOA's and management companies BEWARE!!! Find out what this company is EXTORTING from the future homeowners in your communities before you allow ************ to steal from them!!! Do they tell you that it costs HUNDREDS of dollars when they sell you on their scam??? I feel HORRIBLE that I have to pass these ridiculous fees on to my clients. The HOME INSPECTOR and APPRAISER who drive out to the property and spend hours crawling around with a flashlight, camera, and tape measure, on a ladder checking every nook and cranny, inside and out, to make sure the home is safe and sound for the buyer to live in don't charge as much as ************ charges in most cases! And for what?!?!?!? They process a credit card (and charge a $10 "convenience fee" to do that, by the way) to provide items that YOU provided to THEM. Absolute robbery! My next stop? In ************ certificate charges are capped at $375. Their website is not transparent and will not allow the selection of the minimum required documents. Your only option is to select a package including charges for documents that, as a home owner, I am entitled to anyway. When I called to get clarification, the *** said they cant change Homewise website, thus the negligence falls on me for charges like double dipping of $54 for doc prep, then an additional $75 to rush it for closing in a week, and a base charge of $475 for the resale certificate plus other docs that are ON THEIR WEBSITE.Review from Andrew T

All association documents for my *** are available for download for free on the community website. I requested that NO third party entity be ordered to obtain, courier, send, organize, etc. any documents. However, I'm still being charged a fee substantiated by a HomeWiseDocs.com order that I never saw, never approved and was never notified about. There is nothing in the *** bylaws or organizational documents indicating a third party would be utilized, and the ************* and *** PMC are washing their hands of it. ************ must do a better job of ensuring either Buyer or Seller approval is obtained for these charges as they are the ultimate payer. Incurring charges ordered by those not authorized on the part of the client is unethical at best.Review from Thomas P

This company is a scam. $350 for basic HOA documents that i already have but must be provided by them for the sale of a house. Hopefully someone shuts this racket down.
