I spoke with a Verizon wireless agent on 9/28/2021; named either Bern or Vern about claiming financial hardship. She stated I had qualified for COVID-19 financial hardship by being a resident/ Verizon customer in California and that I had until 12/31/2021 to pay my balance of $253.00. I did not hear from them or get a confirmation via text message until last Saturday. In this text message, it confirms that I qualified for financial hardship. I am now getting phone calls from collection agencies as of 10-07-21 and text messages from Verizon that I must pay now or service will be interrupted.
