I texted Worker who WAS my company's plumber to go to a property where the water heater was leaking. He sent someone who wrote what he saw and did nothing until the next day. My tenant turned off the water. Twice by text I mention to The Worker that I had hoped he had taken care of the water leaking into the condo by the failed water heater. At 12:46pm after I told him I was not happy with the 2 hours of water running into the house, he responded "no worries".
He never mentioned that he left the water heater to empty into the house over night. On the next day, his worker showed up and finally drained the water heater. I send him a video of the water still running into the house that morning. The fact that his worker used his hose to empty it the next day tells me he knew to do it and in fact in front of a witness this worker stated he would have drained it the 1st day! Plumbing 101.
Bottom line, his negligence in allowing the failed tank to empty inside of the condo meant the original drying estimate for equipment pick up on Thurs cause it to extend to the following Monday. He did compensate a measly $230 for damage he caused in the thousands.
The worst part is he refuses to answer the question "why did you fail to empty the tank day 1" and to this day only ignores my question, I've specifically asked no less than 5 times.
Not professional and his negligence cost my owner a lot.
The Worker keeps saying if I would have responded in time, all of this could have been avoided, YET, I texted with him several time throughout the first day and he has not answered why he failed to empty the water heater until the next day. I have all the texts emails etc. asking this question and he never answers it because he know he's liable for the additional water damages. Why would I call a plumber to NOT stop the water coming into the house when any other plumber would have used a hose to empty it into the yard, like his worker did the 2nd day?
