We planned our wedding and hired elite entertainment to ** the event in December of 2019 (this is when we ****** the ********** The contract did state that all payments were ************** Our event was scheduled for June 19, 2020. In March of 2020 I reached out to elite entertainment to say that we were unsure of how our event would end up or if we would have to cancel because of covid shutdowns and that we did not want to continue making non refundable payments if we ended up having to cancel our event. They replied to say that, ********** ****** per covid 19", our first two payments must be made but that they could hold off on the last payment, ****** us the impression that payments made moving forward could be refunded. We ended up canceling our event and put a hold on our contract with elite entertainment with the intent of rescheduling our event for a later date. a few months ago, when we had determined that we could no longer reschedule our event, I reached out to elite entertainment to ask for a refund of the payments made after that email. They told me that they were unable to give refunds, siting covid as the reason. While I completely understand the burden covid has put on us all and particularly on businesses, we made those payments under the impression that if our event was ********* we could receive a ******* We also paid for a service that we never received. They did offer us a credit with them but since we have no use for a DJ we cannot take that. I have tried several times to ask for a refund and they have refused. We would like to receive a refund. Had we known the payments were non-refundable, we would have cancelled our reservation then and stopped payments. I'm not sure how to attach emails but I do have record of all communication because we only ************ through email.
