      Masterclass is a SCAM. The provide false information on their advertising stating if you are unhappy they will issue a refund within 30 days. I was charged 250 for videos that have less value than free ones on *******. I reached out for a refund within 30 days and was told the refund is only for the first transaction not any renewal. I have not used this app in months and this is the only renewal program that is unwilling to provide a refund. Buyer beware this is no better than a timeshare the lock you in with a good price and price gauge you at the renewal time. The customer service is awful and will do nothing to assist resolving issues. I will do my best to spread the word how bad this company is. 1 star on BBB should speak for itself. They only care about the bottom dollar not the people.

      As someone that was charged after hitting the cancellation button multiple times I can not recommend this company to anyone. They blamed my browser, they blamed my internet, they blamed me for being incompetent and not knowing how to cancel a membership even though it said membership cancelled each time till I refreshed the page and it continued to say membership active. I only got a refund because I was willing to file a class action lawsuit as I knew I wasnt the only one being scammed. Also had the bank mark all charges as fraudulent and asked for a criminal investigation. Only reason I couldnt file criminal charges was because they sent a refund once they knew I was seriously willing to take them to court.

      Agree with all the other complaints. I signed up for a cheap trial version to check it out. After watching one class I decided it wasnt for me and didnt watch anything else because the quality isnt great. I was looking at my bank statement and noticed they charged me the full annual cost of membership. Its stupid because over the course of my trial time I received exactly one email from them notifying me that my account was created. Nothing else. No links to anything, no explanation of the terms, no notice that I was going to be charged for the annual membership. Nothing. Otherwise I would have cancelled. I contacted support and even though their auto reply says they try and resolve everything within 3 days I havent heard anything back. Everything feels deliberately sketchy and shady so you dont know whats going on or any details about the membership. And then customer service is completely useless and nonresponsive. Dont order anything from them!

I clicked on it, set up an account, and (because it was Christmas and I was busy) didn't go back to it to try taking a class until January. When I did, I was locked out. I have exchanged more than 10 emails and phone calls with Masterclass customer service, trying to get back on to the platform to actually take a class. They maintain that I never activated my gift in the time frame required, even though (1) I did click and activate immediately and (2) I actually have an account login to prove it, that I created when I received the gift. These guys are crooks. I hope the instructors providing the lessons know what a messed up organization this is. Do not waste your money here. Take an actual course from Coursera or any other online platform."********** saved me a great deal of time having already shared the exact same experience I have had with Master Class. I received an e-mail from Master Class as recently as December 2023 notifying me to activate the membership. I activated the membership and should have initiated 12 months of access. The website even tells me I have activated it. It has been 4 months **** so there is no possibility of my membership being activated and 12 months of access having passed. **************** representatives based in ***** have refused to assist. They refuse to provide me with information on when the membership was activated as is indicated on their website and I did in fact have access when I initially activated it.They are a total scam, dishonest, and uncooperative. Just repeating the same messages multiple times without resolution.

      They are completely uncooperative, we got a gift certificate from our children, tried to redeem. It never was able to log into their site, but they claimed it was redeemed. After multiple calls for support. They completely ignored us. Their customer service is awful. The site is a complete rip off.

      Warning to potential customers: I cancelled my MasterClass subscription, and got an email confirmation of this cancellation... then they went ahead and renewed my annual subscription anyway! And customer service won't refund this unauthorized charge! Unbelievable (and kind of a pathetic money grab on their part). STEER CLEAR, FOLKS!!!!

      What a scam! I received a "free" membership as a "gift" but they wanted my credit card to redeem the gift, and that it would "auto-renew" for my convenience! No way I was falling for that scam! I don't need a "Masterclass" to see a first-class fraud when I see it. If the content was any good, they wouldn't need to force you to renew after the gift was over.

Did it ever occur to you guys to clean Masterclass Instructors? I spy disorder activity coming from them, which means every last one of the Masterclass Instructors needs a cleaning. OR, you all line up, waste your money, in part, and not get the quality and quantity of Masterclass education you deserve!Where are your institutional priorities?       This service is a ripoff. The classes are worthless and the support is worse. Asked for a refund due to the poor content available but since it was past the 30 days, they declined to process a return. Save your money and your time!
