Bought my parents a $200 gift card through Gift Rocket to use for **********************. When attempting to redeem via depositing into a checking account, the transfer never happened. The transfer was I initiated 1/1/2024 and as of today (04/05/2024), the $200 was not transferred. I'd like to get my money back.Business response

I am rejecting this response because Gift Rocket NEVER contacted me to resolve this issue. There was NO communication between Gift ****** and I about not being able to recover the $200 I spent on a Gift card that was never transferred to my specified bank account.

We have discovered unauthorized gift card sales by GiftRocket in *********'s name (***************************) online for a while ago. We had contacted them to stop doing that and they promise to stop but I still see it's still going on. This undermines our business and risks inconvenience to our loyal customers. Please cease these sales immediately and invalidate existing unauthorized gift cards. We expect a swift resolution to protect *********'s reputation and our customers' interests.Business response

My mother sent us a gift card for our anniversary through GiftRocket ($50). I received the email, and followed the steps to claim the funds. I opted to transfer the $50 to our Venmo account. Upon doing so, I received a confirmation that the funds would be transferred shortly, and that I would receive a confirmation email. However, I never received the $50 in our Venmo account nor did I receive the email. I would like to have the funds in our Venmo account or to have the amount refunded back to my mother.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference tocomplaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.However, for future reference, it would be helpful to disclose that the transfer process can take some time when electing to utilize that option. It is a bit misleading.

I was sent a giftcard for $140 yesterday on the website it said I would get my payment same day via PayPal. I sent an email to support and they said it would take a business day to get past the security. Its been a business day and I still have no money. #U340VTIVIOIHKIZBEA Is the confirmation code. I received a gift card from my Daugher-in-law. It was $50 from GiftRocket.com. I followed the instructions without any mistakes and chose to have the money sent to my son's Venmo account. The money never transferred, yet now the giftrocket.com site says the card has been redeemed and the money sent. It has not.Business response

My 14 year old daughter purchased a $25 gift from them and gave it to me as a present. I tried to redeem it and was told it had expired....? Here is there response: Your gift has expired. The GiftRocket Prepaid Gift is a cash-equivalent gift redeemable through the GiftRocket website. It is not a gift card that is accepted by third-party merchants and as such is not covered by the **** Act's regulation of gift cards. I find it interesting that they have to disclose the **** Act regulation which they obviously have avoided so they can just add these unused gifts to their profits. Ripping off a 14 year old girl, who certainly didn't understand these expired, and profiting from her hard earned babysitting money is disgraceful. Avoid this company, just buy gift cards directly.Business response

Purchased a gift card for a Birthday gift on April 5, 2023 for a birthday present on April 17, 2023 Never provided a email address for the recipient yet it was redeemed with an email address. We only learned of this on 1/30/2024 when he went to redeem it. How does this happen card was in his possession and no one knows this individual ******************** and they redeemed before this card was even given to **** ****** ***** We see that they redeemed on ****** on the 21st of April 2023 I hadn't given him his gift yet Never will I use this website again I am embarrassed and totally frustratedInitial Complaint

Just as I have read many other complaints about the same business on here, I too have been scammed out of $200! My father sent me TWO different attempts at a $100 gift card and both times, it claimed it was redeemed, and then, after I complained about not receiving my money, both times, they said it was simply canceled, and never returned the money to my fathers account! I will be taking legal action if I have to because this is just ridiculous that they are able to scam so many other people without being shut down!Business response
