On 10/20/2021, C2 Financial Corp contracted with me to do a VA appraisal for them. On 10/29/2021 the appraisal was completed and uploaded to the VA portal. The VA notified C2 Financial that the report was ready for them to download. C2 Financial acknowledged receiving it.VA rules state that the lender (C2 Financial) must pay the appraiser within 30 days of the issuance of the Notice Of Valuation. That notice was issued on 11/02/2021.As of today, 01/08/2022, over two months later, I still have not been paid. Emails to C2 asking for status have been ignored, with the exception of an email from ********************* of C2, sent on 12/20/2021, stating that my fee will be sent that day.After not receiving it I called C2 at ************ on 01/04/2022 and spoke with Joy, who told me that my check will go out that same day.Again, nothing.I don't know why they're not paying, but they do owe my fee.Business response

At this time the appraisal fee has been paid, the loan did not close and was transferred, which caused some confusion as to the status. Normally the appraiser is paid at closing, and it was missed that this loan was cancelled with C2. That said, the delay in paying was due to Covid cases within the branch location and missing the communication and processing the invoice as is normally done.
This has been corrected and the appraisal, along with the late fee were paid. We apologize for this confusion, as this is not our normal practice.
