Purchased a new whirlpool dishwasher for $684.44 from appliance alley delivered on may 7, 2021. On Thursday June 17th around 7 p.m. dishwasher was smoking and something was burning. Opened dishwasher door and lower washer arm had come off and was melting onto the heating element and the metal portion of the arm was sparking while sitting on the element. Called store on the 18th and my request for replacement was declined. Was told no, it has to be diagnosed by whirlpool whose repairman said he had never seen anything like this. He said needed parts are on indefinite backorder. I asked appl. alley if they could get parts off another machine, still no. Appliance alley wants to wait indefinitely for parts and insists on "repairing" this brand new dishwasher, but ********* agreed to replace it next time if something else goes wrong during the warranty period. This faulty dishwasher is less than two months old and I feel it Is unsafe; whether it is repaired or not I want it replaced.Business response

This issue with the dishwaserh was resolved on July10th 2021. Whirlpool factory technicians repaired any and all issuesThank you***Appliance Alley
