Terrible gym on Monday April 4 2024 I went to ask for a membership and was appalled on how rude and unprofessional the manager ***** and the sales rep ***** were and another employee with long hair. The manager ************** nothing when an immigrant lady and her small child went to ask about a week **********. The other employee with long curly black hair ignored her as did the manger because she didnt speak English. ***** said he didnt speak English but the other two did speak Spanish and ignored her and gave her dirty, angry, annoyed looks she was waiting at the door and no one helped her or her small child. I was so offended let them know that this was not appropriate and left. Only to hear as **** in a sarcastic voice have a nice day.Chuze Fitness Response

I joined Chuze Fitness back in 2019 when at the time they were a trailer in the parking lot.As an inducement to join and since I was with Silver Sneakers I was given a Wellness Premier membership. I have not had any issues until this week when my card would no longer give me access to the wet areas. I was told that I would have to pay an additional $19.99 to use the wet area. According to their own web site the wet areas are still included in a Wellness Premier membership. I still hold that status and can use the other Premier benefits except the wet areas which makes no sense. I attempted to reach out to management on their site but have yet to get a response back. What all seniors should be aware of is that Silver Sneakers pays Chuze $3 a visit up to 10 visits which amounts to $30 a month which is more than a person coming off the street has to pay for the same membership. I am currently a member of Chuze in ***************, ********. But most likely not for long as there are better options out there. Hello *****, I completely understand your frustration. You have been able to access the gym Without truly having an active membership for quite some time. Now that we are reverifying your eligibility we will need to sign you up with our **************** membership pricing. Our Basic membership is completely paid for by your insurance and the Premium and More memberships are still offered at a very discounted price. Please note that the Premium and More Wellness memberships do have an Annual Fee of $49.99 that is charged 45 days after signing up and annually thereafter.We again apologize for any frustrations that have stemmed from this change. Im so mad. Ive been at chuze for a year now. First time going an employee explained to me we cant have any bags on the floor. Every time I go I see bags on the floor so why did I have to put mine away while everyone else gets to keep theres. And on top of that Im so sick of spending over 40 dollars a month to not be able to work out. This place is to packed and I dont have the time and day to figure out whats the less busy our. At this point chuze fitness is not worth it. I cant workout what I need to workout every person has taken up the machines. It puts me in a crappy mood makes me not motivated to workout.Chuze Fitness Response

For the safety of our team and members, bags of any sort are not permitted in the workout areas, however, we do provide lockers inside of each locker room and smaller day-use lockers toward the front of the facility. We apologize if it seemed as though this was only addressed with you but we can confirm this policy is in place for all members. In terms of crowds, we know this can be bothersome but we are thrilled that so many are taking an interest in their health. We do recommend avoiding the facility during peak hours in an effort to miss some of the crowds. My kids and I have belonged to Chuze for 2+ years. Never missed a payment or a month. However, now that my son turned 16 they make him start a new membership which includes a new initiation fee, an annual fee which will hit at the end of the month and start a new 12month contract that he cannot cancel without a large fee. We have shown them loyalty but evidently loyalty on goes in one direction. I will be canceling my membership and join ****. I hope it was worth it to them.Review from Journey P

I recently went into the gym to get a membership and signed a contract no problem there but I soon realized I was moving out of state and traveling abroad, so I went into the gym within my first 20 days and cancelled my Membership and payed the $50 cancellation fee everything was good so I thought next thing you know I keep getting charged and find out months later I have a large outstanding balance and I call them and they state that yes membership was cancelled but I never provided proof of relocation which is a scam in its self and now I owe this money , I would not recommend this gym or franchise to any one they are money hungry scammersReview from Alexandru M

The gym I go to is in ********** ********! Its run by kids that have no sense of respect for older people or gym etiquette and proper guidelines to protect their members! The manager is a kid that is very passive and conflict avoidant! I was assaulted 3 times at this gym and the manager never wanted to intervene or call the police! The gym is neglected and the bathrooms are a space for drug users and nasty shady people! The bathroom is always dirty and two sinks dont work for 9 months! I asked the manager to cancel my membership numerous times and I still got charged in July, even though I was out of tue country! Yesterday was the first time I went in for 30 minutes, I got assaulted by another member with a ********, and the manager again chose to not do anything! I stated my final request to cancel my membership and the girl that helped me was interrupted by the manager! He said my membership was canceled and Ill get an email! I never got an email confirming the cancellation and Im afraid theyll charge my account again! I hate that place! This ******** is the most customer UN-FRIENDLY gym I have evet dealt with. **************** and finance department very rude and un-curious to customers.When i signed up the agreement said 1 day notice is needed for cancellation. But they forced me to pay for 2 months fees. This is a big scam they are doing to rob customers.I will NEVR join this ******** ever again and will NEVER recommend this gym for anyone.Review from Jordan S

Spoke to a corporate customer service staff member about a month ago to cancel my services as I had recently moved. It was right before my yearly renewal so it worked out perfectly. The women told me the plan drops down to a month to month option after the yearly contract and that I had to pay the last month of my contract but that I was good to go after that. Today I logged into my account and saw I was being charged nearly $100 and when I called corporate confused at why I was seeing this after already closing my account they told me that they dont show me ever calling or canceling my account and the $100 is a yearly service fee and a monthly charge despite ur plan automatically going to month to month and was cancelled days after the yearly service fee occurred due to insufficient funds and non of this is refundable. On top of everything else this is complete bs bc I know for 100% that my account hasnt been low enough to not cover a payment for baileys in a long time. Idk whats going on at baileys corporate office but this seems like a complete scam.Review from Colin S

So I actually have been a member of Baileys for only seven months, in which I put my card on file for myself and a friend of mines account who relocated out of the state and canceled his membership. They told me I would still be prorated a charge going forward, and then after that, I would not be charged for his side. I was standing right there when he was on the phone with corporate and he canceled the membership and four months later I was still being charged and noticed so I called up there and I was told that they only froze the account instead of canceling it. So when I asked for it to be completely canceled, They told me they could not unfreeze it to cancel it, and that my friend would have to call in and cancel it which he already did. I asked to speak to a supervisor multiple times in regards to the issue and got absolutely nowhere except being hung up on. As a paying customer, they have no problem taking your money, but when it comes time for them to lose out on money, they are very quick to rudely hang up the phone. Corporate is an absolute joke,
