I was extremely satisfied with both the quality and service of the Village Hat Shop in *********. We've been trying for years to find a hat that fit after alopecia, and Village Hat came through for us on an online order. *******, the salesperson, was kind and helpful and the service and return process was easy.What great service in 2023!*************************** **********Review from Dan B

I ordered my hat on July 15th it arrived July 25th 10 days later. I used their sizing guide and the hat was to large. Ya they have free shipping to you, but I had to pay $17.25 in return shipping from *********** to ********* **. That's CRAP! I'll never use these guys again. I buy allot of items on line but this a lousy return policy. There are to many other vendors out there who think of their customers for return sales.

Followed their hat sizing guide, bought a size bigger than my head. Hat was too small. Was charged $30 to ship it back. This is f*cking bullsh*t. Beware.Review from Janet H

We just received our order, and the hats fit perfectly. We ordered a Heritage Par Laulhere Campan Wool Basque Beret, and a ************* Beret. We received our order in a timely manner. Finding quality berets is not easy, and we appreciate that we have found a place that makes quality berets at a good price for the everyday beret and a reasonable price for a fine evening out beret.Review from Taryn F.

Ordered a hat that cost $43.66 as a gift. The hat ended up being too big for the recipient. The store makes you cover your own shipping for returns. So even though the hat weighed almost nothing, it was a bigger box due to the style of the hat. To ship it back for a "return" cost me $33. So I'll get less than $10 back. I ended up ordering the hat in the correct size from a different retailer, so I've essentially bought this hat 3 times. I'm beyond unhappy with my experience with this shop.Customer Response

have not received my order and there is no way to directly contact the store to find out what I can do.Tracked my order and it was moving ok and got within a couple of miles of my home --- Then it was shipped out of state and is just sitting there now. I ordered a hat on 30 May 22. As of 8 June I still have not received my purchase so I cannot comment on product; however, the shipping method ******************** Expedited. leaves me a bit frustrated. Per tracking info, my hat has been sitting locally since 4 June 22. Im not sure of just how **************** Expedited is supposed to work but it aint. I would suggest getting a reliable shipper or just using US ******************* which is not saying a lot but better than this innovations farce.Review from George C.

Horrible charge you on shipping for returns, when shipping cost more than the hats cost. Scammers. Beware, make sure your sure of your order theyre no Amazon or any credible business!Village Hat Shop Response

I am sorry you feel you were treated unfairly. We have been in business for 42 years, and online for 22 years. Longer than Amazon has existed. We are still a small business, and while we have the best hat selection, and best prices, with free shipping, we do require the customer to pay to ship the hat back the least expensive way possible.. For large heavy hats, it can be expensive, please contact us and we can work something out. BTW, Amazon charges $134 per year for your free shipping.Review from Angelo R
