Awful experience!! Donated car back in 2019 and it has been a headache ever since. It is now **** and I am having to hire an attorney due to a collection of an impounded vehicle since last June 2023. CA *** would not remove my daughter's name or mine since it was never registered by the new owner. The vehicle was auctioned off but the new owner never did register it. I had to clear up numerous tickets (18), clear up matters with Superior Court of *******, previous impound, All of these were cleared with just sending a copy of the Release of Liability.Proper documents were submitted to *** by myself (Release of Liability) but due to the fact CARS did not register the vehicle in their name, our name could not be taken off as registered owners.Vehicle was impounded in June 2023 and I sent in a copy of the Release of Liability and had not heard back from. Same as I did on the first impound. Fast forward to January **** received and Notice of Collections for over $4500. for the impound of the vehicle. I have had to go to CHP offices, Sheriff's Offices, *** office, call numerous Lien companies, Towing Services along with sending in Release of Liability for the tickets and toll charges in ************ for the past 4 1/2 YEARS!!!I have a copy of the Bill of Sale to the new owner from the auction along with the *** paperwork the new owner signed. *** cound not take our names off since CARS did not do the proper paperwork.I have retained an attorney to help me regarding this matter. I may have to go to Small Claims Court in the end or take then to court. The costs and time spend related to this vehicle for donating it is ridiculous.You want to help out charitable organizations but I will never donate anything except household items. I would NOT recommend CARS or getting involved with them.

The representatives at CARS made donating our 22-year-old car a smooth and stress-free process. They guided me through the steps including marking up the title and sending in the license plates to the local ************************* Nw we have received the donation letter so the process is complete. Everything went well and each person I spoke with was kind and courteous. The paperwork went smoothly and in the end I was so pleased to learn the $$$ amount was that donated to my charity from the sale of my vehicle. I would recommend doing this if you have even the slightest thought of donating your vehicle for charity.

All went well. Happy to help my local public radio station(WBHM90.3FM) with the car donation but I havent received anything thing in the mail concerning renewing my membership with the donation. I got a thank you e-mail from the station but thats all. No big deal, maybe its still being processed.??

We had a great experience all the way through. Good communication and response to questions. The driver who picked up the vehicle was great. We are very happy with the process, and will likely donate other vehicles or our boat in the future.

As far as I can tell, as of this review, all is good regarding my donation. This process worked mostly well. That stated a couple of thoughts for improvement. I only speak English (unfortunately) and had difficulty communicating with the pick-up person with broken English. The latter also made questions regarding the completion of paperwork at pick-up difficult. Still, if the opportunity or need rises again I would definitely donate my car with KPCC/CARS again.

We recently used CARS to process our donation of our old Lexus 300 ****** The Process went very smoothly, the tow truck operator was timely and polite, and we did not experience any problems with the paperwork. I noticed in one of the other reviews that a donor had a problem with the transfer of ownership process. Not sure what state they were in but we're in ********. CARS made it clear that filing this form with the *** was the responsibility of the owner. We were able to easily do this online. We will use CARS again. *******************************

There were repetitive calls from CARS with each caller having no knowledge of the existence or content of the previous call. After the vehicle was picked up, we never heard from anyone again. We were never told the value of our donation and didnt receive any confirmation that that money went to the intended charity. We couldve just given ******** to a stranger on the street and gotten the same outcome, but sooner and with less fuss.
