Are you going to answer any of the questions that were asked on the complaint? You did not answer 1 single question. Are you going to provide the documentation that was requested? It really doesn't matter how many overdraft fees I had. Half of the overdraft fees that were charged to my account were because of your company. I have all the documents to prove it. Can you prove that it's not? Math is still math and Math doesn't lie!! It still doesn't add up. Why can't you print out a few documents and show me the transactions that made my balance more than $200.00 in the negative? Once you prove to me that I am wrong, I will leave your company alone.

Also, I provided a picture, of what my balance was. It is numbered document 7. Are you going to provide me with the transactions that made up that balance?

Please answer the questions that I asked on the original complaint and provide the documentation.

Are you kidding me??? What is wrong with you?!?!?  I can't believe you are sending me a letter telling me that your establishment subtracted a deposit that was on hold and that's why the balance is negative!! You're not even trying to fix it. This letter is actually is insulting and sounds like you think I'm stupid. I'm 1000% sure that's not how banking works. However, the letter makes it sound like this is the standard practice for SDCCU. Why are you SUBTRACTING a deposit that is on HOLD? It's a deposit, not a withdraw!! Money that is on hold can't even be touched by the customer. Is this what you do with all deposits or just mine?

My mind is blown! So basically, I deposited a check in the amount of $323.26. Only $225.00 was added to my account because of the check hold in the amount $98.26 (the transaction summary shows this). Then you subtracted an additional $98.26 from my balance which put my balance at $-95.28. If you did this to my account, then there are others!!! You have the audacity to add in the letter that you consider this case closed unless I have new information. I cannot believe you would write a letter like this and then upload it to the BBB website.

On 10/20/21, I checked my acct and saw that overdrawn by $113, however, I followed the very advise by SDCCu regarding available and current. I checked and the available was on point. There was a pending **** charge that was told before, that the charge is neither here or there. But the issue is the Apple and ********** charge. Per the account screen by sdccu shows a positive account yet the rep *** and before could not answer my question that if it has a positive, why the ** fee? This has been an ongoing issue with sdccu and seems to fall on deaf ears. I dislike making these complaints, but the lack of accountability. I make mistakes and Not a big deal. Sdccu needs to make changes to their system, because I followed their methods and seems to be not working in my favor or maybe other consumers. As the screen shots show, all positive, so why the overdraft charges? I am also going to file with the **** to bring light to this issue. Since no positive changes have occurred.

      Hello,
I find it appalling that there was not common courtesy for you to call me and discuss this issue over the phone, but instead via a letter. In my opinion, you as a representative of SDCCU is evading the answer regarding my question and the banks actions.

I understand about the pending charge but as you stated its a hold, but if it is a hold, then it should be reflected on the available balance, and it did not, that is the issue. Its call basic math.

As well, if it is a hold and the pending charge will not clear until 2-3 days as you stated then why didnt the available hold reflected on balance.  it would been common sense for the bank to reflect and be transparent. Instead, the bank charged me an ** fee on two transactions that had enough funds to cover the transaction. Even when the pending charge, with the so call hold would have been covered because my paycheck was DD on the 19th and the pending charge by AT&T was not posted/ cleared until 10/20/21 and posted on 10/21/21, but the bank still charged me ** fee on 10/19/21 of $24.74 with funds available $38.94 and then apple **** of .99 enough funds of $5.95 to cover the transaction. The ** fee by the bank was the transaction that put my account in negative.

If you cannot answer my questions on the reason why, please have a manager call me. This banks strives and markets itself that SDCCU is not a big bank, but surely acts like and its actions reflect it. Transparency is lacking.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Furthermore, we spoke in length on the issue of the mobile app and on how the app can improve to show the pending amount. Northerlies, I did appreciate the time in discussing the issue. I also came to the conclusion, although the ** fee might work for some, but it was not in favor. So I decided to cancel the ** fee service.

      Thank you

I have a closed account with SDCCU, they are indicating I owe money, however they provided no notice that my account was overdrawn, and provide no phone number to resolve the matter. This is on my credit report and they are providing no recourse to resolve other than a written letter. I don't see how they have an A+ rating when their customer service is terrible, they do not provide written documentation of charges and their average review is 1 star.

This year March, April and May *** Diego Credit Union fed us several lies and denied us a perfectly qualified loan.SDCCU is suggesting that Unison is an illegal subordination, yet refuses to tell us what that means. After passing with a loan officer and 3 months in, SDCCU denies us with information given them on the first day of the interview. SDCCU made us fill out a request for a loan and provide 4 or 5 months of data, only to deny us and damage us from receiving a loan elsewhere. SDCCU lied about credit scores by over 50 points while we both received several credit scores over 800.SDCCU lied about and made up issues of credit card use when we have not had one late payment in 50 years and we pay them off at an accelerated rate and have all low interest of 4%.SDCCU lied about one request on credit as a negative factor, when multiple requests are normal when shopping a loan.Do SDCCU underwriters also underwrite for Chase , is there a conflict of interest here?

Since the beginning of the pandemic, SDCCU has applied its overdraft protection policy in a predatory manner intended to gain profit from their customer's misfortune. Over the course of the pandemic, beginning in March 2020, I have been charged a total of 14 overdraft fees of $32 each for transactions that overdrafted my account by less than $20 in each instance. In several cases, the transactions were processed in a manner that maximized SDCCU's fees when a deposit would have prevented them. When I first opened the account, they had a policy of not applying overdraft fees if the account was less than $20 negative. That policy was quietly changed without notice to customers to allow SDCCU to levy these predatory fees during the most vulnerable time in living ** history. After calling SDCCU customer service multiple times, they will not budge on their policy or the application of their predatory fees. In total, SDCCU has levied $448 from my checking account since March 1, 2020.

I am submitting this complaint myself and there is no third party involved. I have repeatedly tried to resolve this issue with the Credit ****************** and SDCCU, however they continue to violate my rights as a consumer under 15 USC ****b(c)(2). I did not give permission to SDCCU to release and SELL my information to these agencies. No consent is IDENTITY THEFT. The account SDCCU added to my consumer reports must be removed immediately.I have sent notarized letters and certified letters to the parties involved, which serves as a legal document and they have chosen to ignore my federally protected rights as a consumer. I am demanding SAN DIEGO COUNTY CREDIT UNION delete this account from all agencies they reported to as they are violating my federally protected consumer rights under 15 USC ****b. These laws are put in place to protect the consumer, however SDCCU chooses to ignore consumers federally protected rights. Attached are my legal documents and one law you are violating.

I have settled this account with SDCCU they refuse to report this to Chexsystems as well as a account with PayPal that I have no dealings with and was disputed through the bank and resolved but Im still on Chexsystems as a open fraud case. I have traded in my car that I have auto loan through SDCCU but due to them not doing their job I cant get financed. I do not have possession of the car and yet SDCCU thinks I should still pay them for a car that is sitting on a car lot. Now they reported me as being delinquent in payment when they know its them who is holding up me being to be financed. I want to cut my losses with this horrible bank I did my job and paid my debt why do I have to do their job as well. I have no fraud case against me nor have I ever bounced checks through their bank.

SDCCU put a hold on $1243 IRS US Treasury deposit ACH. The Deposit showed up in my account as pending on a Friday July 16th, But SDCCU chose to hold funds until Wednesday July 20th. SDCCU charged me $35 overdraft fees 4 times bounced a check of mine causing NSF to another bank account incurring NSF fees on that account. I spent 1 1/2 hour on the phone with rep then manager ****** the manager response was they did not hold the funds but that it was pending because the US treasury only gave them notice the deposit was coming ****** said the pending notification showed me a date of when it will be clear. I said it did not but I asked him to go ahead and show me a document that I was notified and he could not produce any notification. They refunded 2 of the overdraft fees but not the rest. SDCCU cost me $82 in fees this time and have done this type of hold before causing overdrafts.
