Let's talk here about 7 Cups of Tea. First, a friend shared with me about this therapy app/ website. And I thought to give it a try because I deal with some emotional issues, including, mental as well. I took the legal faith and signed up as a member. From a member's standpoint, I will share what I have witnessed. Anyone can easily sign up and talk to a listener, there is no background check done on those who sign up. Especially, if there is an age range put into action. A place that offers help to people with emotional, physical, and mental conditions, who need more than someone they can listen to. And to start they don't offer their listeners anything for being there for the members who come on there. It's all volunteer based and if you want to get paid you have to stay on there for a longer period. That's messed up. When getting daily checkups, the Bot checks in on you. Boy, have I had my moments with this bot to the point I asked for some advice which helped me to some degree, and then turned around and told me they are not authorized to assist me in what I needed. The information it started giving me was for a breathing app when I told this Bot I don't have an iPhone. It told me it couldn't assist me. A person who needs help does not want to be dealing with a Bot, which I suggested needed to be removed and placed by human operators. I brought it out in the open to ************ who created this platform, as I brought up other things as well that I've noticed about his site. There was no response back from him. This shows the lack of care for members who go on his site. I don't recommend coming here if you need support, even though you may get some listeners who will listen to you. But this site isn't cracked up to what is supposed to be. It's falsehood. As for me getting support from other members, their information was very useful. But I still won't recommend getting support. Until there is a huge improvement.

Being blocked by a member also removes points. Certain behaviors result in immediate removal. Other behaviors are yellow flags and the negative appoints accrue over time resulting in a removal. We also require phone verification which adds an extra layer of safety at 7 Cups. We do not provide a crisis hotline at 7 Cups and make this very clear in our policies and guidelines. This is to keep people safe and we also signpost individuals who may be experiencing a crisis situation to relevant crisis resources to ensure their well-being and safety are of paramount concern. I became a listener on February 9 of 2024 and let me just say I would not recommend this site for anybody struggling with mental health problems for starters they don't properly train their they're active listeners properly and anyone could be an active listener without a background check and without verification when it comes to the adult now with the teenagers, it's a little different, but still if people want to lie about their age, they could easily do that with the adult account safety thing there's a lot of sexual encounters going on between members and active listeners lack of support for those who are actively listening to people with severe mental health problems which they don't treat people properly for them they want to constantly bully you and pick on you if you don't login or if a member creates a false complain about the member says they don't don't even have protection for anyone and they don't even do background checks. If I were any of you guys I would not support this site. I would not make for yourself struggling with mental health I would recommend just going through a real center where they actually background check to you and not to mention 7 cups is not meant for crisis situation although it may seem that way it's not, and I was doing advocacy for disabilities for 10 years and never in my life. Have I seen anything horrendous and disgraceful to the mental healthcare community I will be coming back ever - *************************

The free services are misleading. They offer free support chat where you can share and vent.The site makes it sound like support chat is a safe space to share your thoughts. It is not at all a safe space.The chat is mostly unmoderated and any anonymous person can say whatever, even though they are asked to only be supported.

I was a star volunteer at 7 Cups and I put up with the obvious exploitation of volunteers and I nevertheless pushed ahead to improve my listening skills and I loved the RARE feeling of self-quality I got when actually helping. It blew me away how powerful this experience was for me. And then suddenly out of the blue I got cut off from my job completely. It could have been 2 things. A caller was worried about his clerical vocation because he was handsome and after I saw the pic told him to move ahead with his studies and the choice would come to him,. another caller got a good suggestion for reading material. I am an upright and highly ethical person but 7 cups cut me off like a criminal and they are eternally UNFORGIVEBLE now. The *** knew about it and ignored me. DONT GO HERE FOR VOLUNTEEER WORK OR HELP. U wont get it. Instead you WILL discover what CAUSES the worst suffering in America, and in the world and you will be sorry to learn about it since its so avoidable. Monetization of everything, no real care for anyone or anything and focus on ME ME ME ME and of course getting rich but never YOU can. SHAME ON 7 CUPS. Its such a warm fuzzy title for something.

7cups.com exists as a platform for scammers.Volunteer "listeners," who are there in theory to listen to member's emotional problems, are allowed to include random links in the text chat. I was pressured to click on a link, and when I refused it turned into manipulation ("You're really hurting my feelings" etc.) and hostility. It was clear that the only purpose of "listening" to me was to get me to click on the link, which I did not do. I fault the website 7cups for knowingly allowing their members to be targeted for scams by "listeners." I assume this is done so that many people will be incentivized to become "listeners," which makes the site seem active and useful, when they are actually scammers.The majority of "listeners" are from ***** (as well as ******** and other countries) which is the source of a significant percentage of internet scams. At first I thought it was odd that the majority of "listeners" were from other countries, but as soon as I had my first chat and someone attempted to scam me, it all made sense. These "listeners" are there to scam members, and 7cups is fully and knowingly complicit.I posted on the 7cups forum, twice, simply warning members not to click on links from strangers, and my posts were deleted by 7cups.

This company is really corrupt. Please DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU NEED HELP! There are a lot of people who abuse their power and a lot of listeners that violate rules all the time and nobody does anything about it. 7 Cups only wants money so please spread the word. I was talking with a listener, just talking like they were a friend, and it totally switched my thinking ************ me through the process of thinking about my life without giving me advice like my mother or father would do It just cleared my problem all up and I can't believe they did it for free 5 Stars!

Zero stars if I could. I cancelled my membership and they still took out $150.00 each month for 2 months. When I got in touch with them to complain about this, they refunded me only $50.00 so I brought that to their attention. They owe me $300.00, obviously. They replied with, "We'll look into into it", and I've never heard back.NEVER use this service!!!!!! My credit card company is investigating this as well.
