I purchased a high efficiency washer in July 2023. There was a rebate for this washer. I submitted the rebate and got a confirmation that it was approved on 9/20/2023 and that I should give it at least 30 days to receive. I didn't receive the check so I emailed them on 11/3/2023. They replied back the same day and said their finance **** would check the status and if it wasn't cashed they would send out another check. I never heard back from them and didn't receive any checks. I followed up on 11/29/2023. I never received a response. I finally emailed them again on 1/14/2024. Again, no response. I don't believe them have any intention of honoring their rebate. My complaint is about the SoCal Water Smart turf rebate program. I initially applied for the SoCal Water Smart turf rebate on September 27. 2021 and was given the pre-approval after submitting numerous photos of my lawn and front yard, filled out the application, and completed the yard design according to their specifications. We then hired a gardener to remove the turf, grade the front yard, and plant according to our water saving design requirements. On November 23, 2021, I submitted all completed photos and was APPROVED for $3000.00 rebate. SoCal Water Smart said the rebate check for $3000 would arrive within 10 weeks of the approval date. We followed up by phone several times in January and February 2022. We have NOT RECEIVED our rebate check. When I inquired about the check's whereabouts, I was given excuses like "it must have gotten lost in the mail" and "it's on the way" even though it is now March 7th, 2022. They insist on using the mail rather than any electronic banking deposit system. When I call the only given phone number for SoCal Water Smart, I am given the runaround about the arrival of the check. When I ask detailed questions, they do not have answers. In January 2021, when I called SoCal Water Smart asking when the check might arrive, I was told the first check was voided (since we did not receive it) and the second check would be issued within the week. I was instructed it would take a week to arrive. It never did. This is a rebate program. I have purchased new toilets for my new house. I converted he toilets to 1.7 GPF, to save water. This program asked for pictures of the receipt and pictures of the toilets installed.I sent them 3 different invoices and 3 toilets installed. I was told 7 Months later, that my application was denied for missing information.They told me I was missing the invoice and pictures. I have emails to prove that the pictures were submitted in April 2021. Why is this being denied and why 7 months later?
