I took my car in because it was overheating, they said I had to pay $150 for a diagnostic first. So I agreed to that, after the diagnostic, they called and said I needed 2 sensors to fix it for $1300.00. I agreed to that price for fixing the problem. A day after I picked up my car, it started overheating again, so I called them, they said to bring it in. 4 days later they called and told me there was a slow leak in the engine and that they could try to put some stop leak in it but couldnt guarantee that would fix it and that their shop couldnt fix it, it was too extensive work for their shop. I then asked if they ran a diagnostic, wouldnt that have shown up as a problem ? He said they ran a check engine diagnosis and the 2 sensors were what was showing. I believe they knew that the car wasnt fixed and they are trying to get more money out of me.

On 2/17/2021 I brought my 2006 Dodge Ram **** to Arden High Tech Auto Repair to have a check engine light diagnosed. On 2/22/2021 I was told that I needed either a valve job, or to replace my engine with a used engine for approx $4000. I decided to go with the used engine. When I picked up the vehicle the cost was over $6000 and prior to leaving the parking lot I noticed that the check engine light was still on. I brought it to the attention of the owner. He read the code with a device, cleared the code and told me that I needed to drive the vehicle for a couple of weeks to let the system reset. On 4/6/2021 I brought the truck back again as the light was still on, with the same codes that I originally brought it to the shop for. The owner replaced 2 sensors and had the ***** reflashed. He then told me "if the light comes back on, you're on your own"! I have had to take my truck to another repair shop to try and fix the check engine light that I paid Arden High Tech over $6000 to fix.

This vehicle arrived to us and we performed a diagnosis to the customer , ***************** was notified the vehicle had valve train issues .At the time ***************** athorized the shop to replac the engine with an used engine , We transfered all his components to the used engine. ***************** athorized and signed aLL  the paperwork and stated there was no warranty. AS a goodwill gesture we did further repairs for free.We never had any conversations with ****************** untill later when she yelled at employees , ****************** also wrote a scathing yelp review about us ,Leaving out many details. The problems are different codes in the computer .THank Yoy *************************.

I am rejecting this response because: the entire reason that I brought it to them was because I had a check engine light on and they wrote down what code it was on each of their invoices. When I picked up the truck it STILL had the check engine light on with the exact same code as when I dropped it off. When I dropped it off , he told me that I needed either a valve job or replace the engine. A valve job would be approximately $2000 & the used engine replacement would be around $4000. After spending in excess of $6000 my truck is now at another shop being diagnosed. His, Arden High Tech, never fixed the issue I brought it to them for. I have been told that it is not a mechanical issue, but they are still working on it. Please refer to the invoices attached to the original complaint for codes.

As a gesture of goodwill, And to help make this issue go away, I would like to offer the customer a check for $ ******** . We only did the repairs ****************** requested .Also we never told him this would fix all of his ck. engine light issues.Thank You *************************

I am rejecting this response because: We brought the truck in for a Check Engine Light diagnosis and to repair what was necessary to do that. ******************* told us that we needed to either replace our engine or get a valve job done to do this. The *** codes were P0172 & P0175 when we dropped it off. I ONLY agreed to replace the engine because ******************* recommended that to fix the *** ( check engine light) issue. I am still trying to fix the *** codes P0172 & P0175. All the repairs that were done at Mr ********* shop did not address any of those issues. So in addition to the $6000+ that I paid to him, I am paying more than $2500 at the dealership. None of the work that Mr ********* shop did ever resolved anything to do with our original complaint.

The customer signed up for an a/c performance test.We evacuated the system and performed a leak check both visually and with the machine. Both test showed no leak at that time. After that we filled the system with r134a refrigerant oil and dye , to locate any small leaks. We informed the customer to bring it back for further inspection if it stops working.Upon seeing the vehicle later on we informed the customer there was dye residue on the compressor. The customer refused ********************** at that time,I informed the customer we would fill the system for half price at that time because he did not want to fix the vehicle. At this time I would like to offer the customer a goodwill gesture of $100.00 dollars.Thank You *************************
