This is for date of service 6/14/2023.I was scheduled for a regular cleaning. I received a call from Waikiki dental that they can also do my crown at the same time. I asked them about how much I would I owe as I had a lot of treatment done this year and only $275 was left under my primary plan. ******* confirmed that I would approximately owe about $16 for the $727 crown since they will bill crown first to my primary which will pay $275 (will use my remaining balance) and secondary will pay $436 (60% covered). The cleaning ($98) will be billed afterward and the secondary will pick 100% of $98 cost as cleaning was 100% covered with my secondary. I did the treatment and paid $16. They billed insurance in the opposite way (incorrect way), on 6/15, they billed for cleaning and then on 6/16 they billed for cleaning. Since I had only $275 left with my primary and $98 was used for cleaning, my primary only paid $177 (rather they could have paid $275 for crown if billed in correct order). My secondary would have picked up 100% of cleaning if they would have billed it after crown and that $98 would have gone to crown. Now the dental office is asking me to pay the remaining balance. They are asking me to pay remaining amount and I am disputing this bill as I strongly believe that I have paid what I owe.
