For my fire rebuild from the loss of my home in 2017 ***** windows were ordered from Golden State Window and Door Design. All windows were ordered in a wood finish with an Ebony black stain. Within this original order the accompanying window screens were incorrectly sent as unstained white pine. The window company was notified and were supposed to send out replacement screens with the correct finish. Months passed with no notification regarding date of arrival despite multiple requests. A lawyer had to be contacted to write a letter to obtain any response from the company. Three seasons passed before the arrival of the replacement screens which were again incorrect in terms of sizing as well as screen frame material. The company was again informed by letter from a lawyer and were provided a full document regarding correct sizing. Months have again passed with no notice for time frame for arrival of replacement screens. Multiple emails and letters have been sent with no response from the company. A year now has passed with having no means to ventilate the home and no response from the company regarding timing for correct order arrival nor apology for the repeated errors in terms of sizing and materials. At the very least the company could provide an estimated date for the arrival of the correct screens for the home. The ***** windows in the hallway and master bathroom have portions of the wooden window trim and framing which are falling off onto the floor revealing warping and cracking of the framing used to build the windows. More than half of the windows have bleed through of sap lifting the ebony stain finish from all of the trim. This requires repair and or replacement due to defective material provided.Please see attachment for the additional issues with the windows. Too large a document to fit here. Future customers should be aware that they are at risk to receive no material, defective material and even when homeless and suffering the most catastrophic of losses that they will be ignored by the company that made these errors in the first place.
