I wanted to buy a 2024 Tesla model Y from the dealership. The car was on the lot already and it was just a matter of paperwork to purchase it. I was given an estimate for my trade-in on my 2005 ***** element four-wheel-drive of $3000. I accepted that offer and we proceeded with everything else. A couple days later I was sent a new trade-in offer of $2600 which I rejected. I talked to the dealership representative that I was talking to about the car, he told me to write to the person that sent the $2600 offer and ask him why there was a $400 smaller offer. When I did that, he asked if there was anything aftermarket that I put on the car I told him yes. He asked for pictures and I sent him a picture of the roof rack that I put on the car. With the $2600 offer which I still rejected and told him I would cancel the car order if he does not come up to $3000 that I originally accepted.. they did not come up to $3000 and I canceled the delivery to me today, March 9, 2024. I was called by the dealership and told that I would lose $250 that I had to place for the order to go through. I told him I do not accept that either. The car was on the lot they did not have to order it. They had to do nothing for that $250 that they are trying to keep the $250 is what I am asking to be returned that I placed on my credit card . In the photo it shows trade-in value of $10,500 which includes the $3000 original offer for my car plus the $7500 rebate for it being an electric automobile made in *****************.
