Heres about the batteries. PIECE OF C*** COMPANY. DONT USE THEM!!!!In November 2023 I spent ****** on a Renogy battery which fixed my issue with my leveling system temporarily. In January I started working on it again to no avail and it didnt work. Last week started working on it again. I replaced the Solenoid switch. Didnt fix it. My battery voltage meter said it was fine. Everyone said I needed to take it to be checked. Finally did that yesterday. It was c*** Bought another battery locally. Course these crooks say I bought it from Amazon so tough even though its from Renogy store on Amazon. Everyone knows Amazon has only 30 days and then you have to deal with the company it came from. Im certainly NOT going for a replacement on a piece of c*** that I already had to replace locally.Review from david k

I bought an 800 w system a little over a year ago and, the controller has failed and the 3 200Ah batteries are failing. After dealing with tech service they refuse to send me a new controller and batteries under warranty. Stay away from this company!!!! not worth saving a few dollars over their competitors.Review from Donald B

I read the reviews after I purchased the panels. I am glad that I purchased the panels before I read the reviews!! I tried scanning the ** code that came on the card that came with the panels and was tracked to a third party site that I had no interest in what so ever. That site asked for credit card info. NOOO thanks. So I went to the Renogy site for warranty info and placed the order number from Amazon and no dice. I then did two party verification and was sent a code, I did this 3 times and no dice. Finally I did the old fashioned phone call to their ************ I talked to a very nice very professional agent. She told me to simply keep my Amazon order number if I had any issues. Cool. The panels I got work fine with my solar generator. They charged the solar powered ECO-FLOW Delta 2 perfectly from 40% to 100% in about an hour and a half on a cloudy day. On a sunny day in less than 45 minutes while powering my frig and my 12 volt freezer. I hooked up the solar generator to my entire house as one would do with a gas powered generator and can use the solar generator all day. At night I use my Aferiy solar powered generator in the same manner (I charge the Aferiy during the day) with 2 Bouge RV 200 watt panels that only give me half the power of 2 Renogy 200 watt panels on a cloudy day. On a sunny day the Bouge RV's charge fantastically in the range of 330 *****. So it takes about 2 hours to fully charge from 40%. My advice if any is to make sure of the source from which you buy your panels. More importantly make SURE your panels are compatible with the solar generator you purchase. cool runnings PROCESSRenogy Response

I recently purchased 2 400W Renody light solar suitcase solar panels. One panel was shipped with damaged wiring caused by a missing grommet. This was discovered immediately upon unpacking the panel the day of delivery. I contacted Renogy on the day of delivery and they want me to test the electrical performance of the panel, and only if the missing grommet / damage to the wire is affecting it's solar performance will they agree to a replacement. I sent photos of the damage to the wire and the missing/mangled grommet that allows the wire to no longer be protected from the sharp edges in the aluminum frame. When the panel is folded up it contacts the sharp edges of the frame as it tightens against the frame. Each time the panel is closed, the insulator will be scraped and eventually this will lead to an electrical short. Renogy will not replace the panel until the electrical performance is affected (ie. the wire is damaged to the point of it causing a short). I do not want to be out camping off-grid with a panel that I can not depend on, is this too much to ask? I can't believe Renogy thinks I should be OK accepting a damaged solar panel?Renogy Response

I spent $600 on a 400-Watt Solar Suitcase. Portable Solar Panels. I am pretty knowledgeable about general solar technology and have multiple other solar panels and products. I unpacked these panels and was very impressed with the build quality. At this point I was very pleased. Problem was when I hooked up the panels to my solar generator, there was zero output of wattage or amperage. I put a meter on the panel and I was getting voltage but *************** and zero amps. I tried multiple LifePO battery setups and solar generators and still no output on the panels. I have multiple because I do a lot of dry RV Camping. By the way. It was ******************* and full sunny day. I understand that sometimes you get a faulty device, but the test of an A class company is how they handle the problem. Well, simply put, Renogy was awful. I was transferred multiple times between customer support and technical support. They keep making excuses that they need to get approval for the return. It's been a week and no new news. I simply want my device replaced with one that works. I am not asking for my money back or any other repayment for the hours of time I have spent on hold. Simple, please replace my device. Their offices are in ****** and I live in ****** so I would even drive over there and save everyone the freight. Even though it is an hour away from my home. I am still in the process of the return so we'll see if they make it right, but the start of this purchase has been very frustrating. I will miss a camping trip due to not having the panels operational. I am not sure why it is so difficult to honor your warranty policy. ****************Review from Chris S

My solar panels are 9 years old with a 10 year warranty, purchased by a previous owner of this house. Last year they started giving me problems, and the last 3 months of the year they generated no power at all. I had the system re-wired hoping that would help but no joy. I had the company that did all the re-wiring take photos for Renogy as part of the warranty process, and they denied each photo as "not meeting standards", even though I gave their instruction document to the contractor. So they sent another team out and did them *again*, and I uploaded those photos. A week and a half later nobody had responded, so I called them and asked what was going on and I was told "oh, I can see your photos now". The original solar contractor sent them the requested invoice to verify serial numbers and ownership etc. the day I uploaded my first set of photos. A month later they still did not have it attached to my support case, prompting the original solar installation company to call and complain that they weren't doing their job and it was reflecting poorly on everyones reputation at this point. I am now assured that they have the photos and invoice that they need and the case has been "escalated" to upper management. Apparently badly made solar panels failing before warranty requires upper management approval and guidance on "next steps", though I don't see what the next step would be outside of providing me with replacements for the 40 broken solar panels on my roof. This is still ongoing, I am supposed to have an answer sometime this week, but I have now been without power for 5 months thanks to their convoluted processes and lack of follow up. If I wasn't chasing them down, none of this would ever get done. I either want the cash value of the original purchase so I can replace these panels myself, or replacement panels shipped out ASAP. If I get neither, I am luckily well-off enough *and* bored enough to file a lawsuit in ********** for breach of contract.Review from Pascal B

Beware.... all their lithium batteries are cheap... the *** inside don't last... they will mostly fail after ***** months. This company are crooks... they put an msrp price really high, and give you a fake discount on everything... so when the product fail, they have a warranty base prorated by month and the price without the discount... so at the end the charge fees way to high to replace their faulty product... in my case I paid 22 months ago $2807 for 3 batteries... and all 3 fails... Renogy ask me to pay $1820 fees to replace their bad products... the "3 years" warranty is a scam. Stop doing business with them... they are not a *** company... I tracked my money and the are transferred directly to *****.Review from Chris S

Renogy met their promise for the warranty. Although it took quite a few messages, through their website, they decided that they should ship me two new batteries, worth nearly $400.You might feel giving up when they give you a list of what they want to see to prove that you own the batteries and that they are truly not working, but don't give up. After sending them six pages of documentation, including photos of a Snap On laser battery tester showing that the batteries were not good (from a licenced battery company in our state), the serial numbers, a description of how the batteries have been treated (see their online pdf warranty book to see what is expected), etc., they were then very quick to make a decision and send the batteries.I admit I hadn't looked carefully at the reviews with the BBB or Amazon, before buying the batteries, but they have kept their promise regarding their 3 year warrranty and we are very contented with their response.Review from Abbott N
