I am getting scam calls saying that I have inquired about getting a car with them. When I called the business to ask if the number that called me was them they refused to just confirm or deny. The only reason I called is because I am getting calls and texts from them about an inquiry i did not make.Business Response

So I went into the store the representative gathered my information and then once he observed my credit he stated that he would require a down payment but I told him that if it was an electronic vehicle that my down payment will be the tax credit associated with the utilization of a clean vehicle and he then stated how the store doesn't do such a thing so I feel as if them lacking ability to do so signifies that they had been unaccredited and only willing to place hard inquiry on the customer record and possibly keep the tax credit for them self in hopes to gather inventory and also to mimic the act of salesBusiness Response

Thank you for reaching out to North Hollywood Toyota regarding the concern with the tax credit. The tax credit for electric vehicles needs to be claimed by buyer by filling up an application with new vehicle information and it may take up to a few wks of 90 days, for that same reason we do not accept tax credit for down payments. the tax credit is issued directly to customer. we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.Initial Complaint

North Hollywood Toyota ******************************************************************************************* On June 1st I was sold a used 2016 Toyota Corolla with ****** miles on the car, a recent trade in. I put $10k down cash and financed $6k. The car was sold to me not detailed, which they had acknowledged, and not inspected, which was not admitted until after i returned. To my knowledge, this car had undergone its inspections, and was in good condition to drive off. I drove off the lot and after a day with the car I started having many issues. After looking at the car myself I realized there was many issues with it which included: leaking transmission, low oil, low brake fluid, and non functional back lights. These were causing the car to have severe problems and safety issues while driving. The following day the car was inspected and was offered my money back due to the confirmation of these issues. I opted for this option as it would be the most efficient, however my money was promised to be returned via mail by the 2 week **** from Wednesday the 4th. Not receiving my $5,500, i called multiple times to which nobody could give me a response. It is now the 20th and I have been informed that the process to return this money has only started 2-3 days ago because I had been nagging, however there was and is no intention or urgency to refund my money to me, and this issue has yet to be resolved.Business Response

I have a Barcelona red 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport pickup truck. The paint on the hood is cracihng in about 30 different areas with some being to metal as well as the door handles. The paint on the hood near the windshield is pitting in about a 3' x 1.5' section accompanied with the cracks that are looking like a roadmap. After some research I have found this to be a trend with the same color trucks. I have been back to the Toyota dealership where I bought it to show them the factory defect. They looked at it and shrugged it off as a clear seal, clear coat (somethin like that) cracking and there was nothing they could do. They said this is normal, I am nearly 59 years old and have owned many vehicles and know enough to know this is NOT normal. The suggestion was to go to their body shop and show them, so I did that. They said "yes we can fix that, would you like an estimate"? An estimate to fix a Toyota defect? This is unsat. All I want is this fixed. I spent a lot of money and have bought five Toyotas. The nonchalant attitudes I've dealt with are pathetic. All I want is for Toyota to fix this, this is absolutely a factory paint issue. I keep my vehicle immaculate, washed, waxed so this should never have happened. I have attached some pictures. They are in now way the only areas. These are just a few of 30+ and spreading quickly. A below question asked about military status and/or *** employee. I am a veteran, retired ************ of 21 years and combat veteran. I am also now a *** civilian employee.Business Response

On 1/18/25, I purchased a used car from the Toyota North Hollywood Dealership. I was not informed during the contract signing by the ****** personnel if I'd like to purchase a 2-day contract to forfeit the deal if there were issues with the car and signed contract. After signing the contract, the keys were brought to me, and one of them did not work; I was told to come back so it could be programmed. As soon as I drove off the lot while I was on the fwy the car began to show issues. The brake pedal was shaking, and the steering wheel, when I broke and drove past 60 mph, also had a lot of shaking and vibration from the steering wheel and seat. Within 24 hours, I called the salesman, ****, and explained the issues on Sunday and told him I did not feel safe driving the car. Monday morning and throughout the week I called the dealership to speak with the sales manager and a General manager, they would take my messages but would not get a call back. Every time I called to speak with a manager, they would take a message. oN 1/27/25, I was asked to bring the car in for evaluation. The Used car sales Manager test-drove the vehicle, and he minimized my concern, stating the car was fine. I asked to speak with a GM and the car was kept for a week and sent to ***** for further inspection. A rental was provided for me for a week. On 1/31/25, the car was test-driven again, and issues were still present. I was reinstated to Sales General Manager. I did not want the car and did not feel safe. I was told that they could not cancel the contract but would try to get me into another car. The cars on the lot had several issues, so I declined. I was given a week to come back to trade the car. I called back on 2/3/25, explaining that the trembling and shaking were still happening, and stated that I was not feeling safe with the vehicle to the ** sales manager. I was sked to stop by on Wednesday to look at new cars. I have tried and emphasized my safety concerns with no resolution.Business Response

On 11/03/24 I leased a Toyota Prius Prim from North Hollywood Toyota. Advertised lease deal was $195 plus tax monthly payments with $4,995. I was charged $6, 999 ($2,000 over). This is was clearly a bate and switch illegal tactic. I am seeking refund of $2,000 overcharged.Business Response

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my frustration and seek your assistance regarding a significant issue with the title of a vehicle we purchased from a dealer TOYOTA North Hollywood, ***************************************************************************** On July 7th, 2024, we purchased a 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser from TOYOTA North Hollywood in North Hollywood. At the time of purchase, we were assured that we would receive the Manufacturers Statement of Origin (***) necessary for us to register the vehicle in our home state. However, despite paying in full and having waited for over 30 days, we have yet to receive the title. We have repeatedly been given excuses that the dealership needs to order the *** from Toyota. Each time we follow up, we are met with further delays and vague responses. This situation is causing significant inconvenience as we are unable to register the vehicle and use it as intended. The dealers lack of transparency and timely communication is concerning, and we are now seeking your intervention to resolve this matter. Please advise us on the appropriate steps we should take or if there is any way you can assist in expediting the process. We would greatly appreciate any help you can provide in ensuring that we receive the necessary documentation to complete our vehicle registration.Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. We look forward to your prompt response.Sincerely,Chlomy ********************Business Response

11-18-2023 I was quoted MSRP $37710 for a car and also car is listed on their website for MSRP with possible $500 off for qualified buyers. When I arrive at dealership I was told they are selling car for $46k and the websites advertised price and the priced I had been quoted was just a number so they could get me in the door. This sounds like bait and switch or false advertising to me. Wasted 2+ Hours of my life to this dealer trying to scam me.Business Response

In regard to bullying and scare tactics when receiving service to my vehicle and them bullying me to purchase more services than necessary for financial gain. I've probably spent upwards of $6000 in the last two years unecessarily based on these scare tactics of them telling me some part or another is malfunctioning and my car will crash and burn on the highway at any moment if i don't get it fixed. This common scare tactic and pressure regular has forced me to make financial decisions that have hurt me in the long run. Most recently they tried to tell me several parts needed to be replaced or my wheel could fall off at any moment and that if i didn't finance the repair with them i was going to ruin my car. I refused service at this point and called another toyota nearby. They looked and tried the same tactic but with another service part that they couldn't prove was even bad. When i asked the other service department why the other toyota wouldn't have told me about this new pressing issue they said they were probably delaying service so they could having something to repair the next time i came in. So, having had enough with toyota in general i took it to a local mom and pop where they confirmed that North Hollywood Toyota ****************** does participate in the practice bullying or using scare tactics to make high commission off of this bad faith service and the the "parts" they said were in disrepair were in fact just fine. Again, i feel i was pressured to spend at least $6000 in the last two years that was in fact unecessary service. They consistently make me feel like my car is going to fall apart, even though it's also according to them a "Great Car" and they could "resell it easily for a lot of money" if i chose to do so.Business Response
