I received an unsolicited business credit card. Since I have had problems with identity theft in the past, I was very concerned...I immediately suspected this was/is some kind of scam.BriteCap Financial LLC Response

Hi *******, At BriteCap, we pride ourselves on upstanding business practices and are proud to have provided financing to thousands of ******** small businesses. BriteCaps direct mail solicitation is an invitation to apply for business financing and is not a credit card . The invitation is based upon qualifying information BriteCap receives from the major business credit bureaus and final approval for funding is based upon verification of certain business characteristics, including recent business revenues. We hope this information helps clarify your misunderstanding. If you would like additional information, please send us an email at ************************************ We could also remove your company from future mailings. Please send an email to ******************************* with details (the 16-digit code, company name, etc.). Thank you.Review from Sebastian M

Same here. I received a plastic credit card for a person (with her now maiden name) who has volunteered in our organization. I can't believe I or she would be allowed to activate this card with our business address. Needless to add, I am shocked that they have this information about her.Lastly, the fact that all your replies to our complaints are made of the same template, says volumes about your ethical practices.BriteCap Financial LLC Response

I received an unsolicited credit card offer with our business name on it but with an unknown person's name on it too. It is extremely deceiving marketing ploy to get you to subscribe to their credit card. It literally says call to activate the card.. but then read the fine print and it says its just an offer. This company clearly has had multiple complaints for the same behavior over the last couple of years. Why are they still allowed to do this? I want our company name and address removed from all of their mailing and calling lists.BriteCap Financial LLC Response

***** and fraud, in my opinion!!! Received a credit card offer for a business and person that does not reside at my private residence. I emailed the company, called Britecap, informed them, and complained. I was tolld by Britecap staff that I could 'opt out'. I told the person that 'I never opted in'. Britecap-Please take my address and information out of your system regarding this company and any offers. If a shady criminal gets this offer, I would hate to get caught up in trying to clear things up. NO THANKS BRITECAP. This is not how you do business.BriteCap Financial LLC Response

Like ****************'s post, BriteCap did exactly what he described. BriteCap put a fictitious name as CEO of our company and then sent a pre-approved credit card to our business' legal address. Thankfully, we are not very trusting people and shredded the application and pre-approved credit card as soon as it was received.BriteCap Financial LLC Response

As a Senior Fraud Consultant for over (30) thirty plus years I can say unequivocally RUN, don't Walk away from this entity now doing business as ******** Financial LLC (verifiable on the ********** Secretary of State website). They have a well reported deceptive marketing scheme of sending business credit cards to the attention of some random name listed as an "Officer" of the legitimate company and address. They rely on the real business principal calling in to question the name on the mail piece and **** business credit card that is in the mailing and then being sold on taking out a business loan with them. My mentor always told me when questioning a less than truthful subject to ask, "Should I believe you now, or before when you were lying to me?" This is a textbook deceptive business practice and I doubt it is limited to just their marketing department.BriteCap Financial LLC Response

*******, At ********, we pride ourselves on upstanding business practices and are proud to have provided financing to thousands of ******** small businesses. BriteCaps direct mail solicitation is an invitation to apply for business financing and is not a credit card and does not contain the **** brand. The invitation is based upon qualifying information ******** receives from the major business credit bureaus and final approval for funding is based upon verification of certain business characteristics, including recent business revenues. All business names and the owners/principals associated with each business name are provided to ******** from the major business credit bureaus. Occasionally, individuals associated with businesses are incorrect and, when we become aware of such, we correct the information in our system and advise direct mail recipients to contact the major business credit bureaus as well to ensure the information is corrected. We hope this information helps clarify your misunderstanding.Review from Bobby W

Sent a credit card with an extreme credit limit to my corporation to a different named addressee. I am the only person who works for this corporation. I called to inquire and was told that they provide misleading mailers and randomize names because they are, in my opinion, a fraudulent company. How is this legal in 2023?Review from Jorge G

ALERT!! ALERT!! ALERT!!
I am not Happy with this Company they have no remorse and they really don't care about you.
BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING PLEASE READ YOUR DOCUMENTS THIS IS NOT A SECURED LOAN THEY WILL NOT QUOTE YOU A %%% OF THE AMOUNT OF THE LOAN WHICH IT TURNS OUT TO BE ABOUT 38% INTEREST RATE + A PROCESS FEE. I CALLED UP TO PAYOFF LOAN THEY QUOTED ME APPROX 300.00 DISC WHICH STILL AMOUNT MORE THAT WHAT I BORROWED. NO DISCOUT ON THE INTEREST RATE. SO THIS IS HOW IT WORKS. THEY LEND YOU THE MONEY YOU PAY ALL INTEREST AND PROCESSING FEE BEFORE YOU START ON YOUR AMOUNT THAT YOU BORROWED. DUE TO TRYING STAY IN BUSINESS AFTER COVID-19 YOU WOULD THINK THAT THEY WOULD BE MORE RESONABLE IN THERE PRICING BUT I ASK YOU AS A MERCHANT TO BE CAUTIOUS OF THE AMOUNT YOU BORROW FOR EXAMPLE 1YEAR LOAN BORROW $14447.00 X 33% = $4767.51 INT + $432.00 PROCESS FEE + XXXXX.00 YOU WILL PAY BACK OVER $20,000.00. THEY DONT EXPLAIN THISReview from Mark O

The practice of sending unsolicited "pre-approved" cards with my name on it causes stress. Especially to someone who has already suffered from CC fraud in the past. This isn't the only company that does it, but it is a deceptive practice that needs to stop.Review from Stephen S

Absolutely terrible company to do business with! I received an unsolicited mailing from ForwardLine advising me that I had been "pre-approved" for a line of credit. So I followed the steps in the letter to accept my line of credit. Turns out, it was not exactly "pre-approved." I had to send numerous sensitive documents to my account agent, Jonathan Cardona, and answer several sensitive questions about my business. The whole process made me a little uncomfortable. After I had submitted everything, Jonathan said he would get back to me but never did. I emailed him twice trying to follow up but did not receive a reply. Very unprofessional and poor customer service! I do not recommend doing business with ForwardLine.BriteCap Financial LLC Response

We deeply regret Mr. Shepard's negative experience applying for financing from ForwardLine. The mailing Mr. Shepard received was an offer of business financing. While Mr. Shepard's offer was based upon qualifying information we received from business credit bureaus, we regret that we were unable to provide Mr. Shepard's business with financing at this time. Nonetheless, ForwardLine prides itself on excellent customer service and a consultative sales process. Mr. Shepard should have received clear and timely communication from us regarding the status of his application and we sincerely apologize that this was not the case. We are carefully reviewing the situation and will take appropriate steps to ensure this does not happen again. We are very sorry that Mr. Shepard had a negative experience with ForwardLine, we wish him and his business the best in their future endeavors, and we hope to be able to meet Mr. Shepard's business financing needs in the future.
