RE Invoice *******, Account ******** visited the *********** Marquee Urgent Care on July 3rd. Upon arrival, I confirmed that my insurance was accepted and my co-pay would be $25.I subsequently received a bill for $207.01. I immediately called Marque Health and was told that it was because I had not reached my insurance deductible. Knowing this was incorrect, I reached out to ********************* who on speaking to Marque Urgent Care, were told that they had billed under the Doctor instead of the facility (Marque Urgent Care). Since Health Net are contracted with Marque (and to bill under the Doctor is a misleading practice), Health Net requested that the claim is resubmitted under Marque Urgent Care. The operator from Marque stated that she did not and would not want to do this.Health Net have since filed a grievance against Marque and I am waiting for a resolution from Marque. In the meantime Marque are sending me texts to collect on the payment. I have sent a formal letter to Marque today to again request a resolution.All prior call attempts have been futile with an unwillingness to correct the billing.Initial Complaint

I visited the urgent care on May 30th, 2022. They ordered blood work, and I received a bill from LabCorp afterwards for $292. After speaking with LabCorp and my insurance, I was informed I was billed because the code used for billing by the doctor at Marque was incorrect, and therefore, the insurance could not cover the blood work. My insurance company tried unsuccessfully getting in contact with Marque Urgent Care on my behalf to resolve the matter. I have reached out to Marque Urgent Care numerous times and have spoken to a variety of staff who all assure me they are forwarding the issue to the supervisr and to the billing manager. However, I am still being billed by LabCorp as no corrections have been made. Each time I call Maque Urgent care it takes **** tries to get someone to answer the phone, and I get various stories ranging from "you'll hear by 2pm," "there's no record of you calling," etc.Business response

Hi there,
We have contacted LabCorp (we spoke with ******) to rebill the claim to the insurance company. Our office manager, *********************** has attempted to contact the patient and left a message to call her back. We hope to have this resolved ASAP and get in contact with the patient.

Hi there,
I am not sure why the numbers did go through. I doubled checked our phone lines and even tried calling from my personal cell and everything seemed to work fine. I did hear from our Office Manager and she did speak to the patient and cleared everything up. She was informed that we had contacted LapCorp (the lab) and rebilled everything through insurance. She was also informed that LabCorp wasn't able to guarantee that insurance would still cover the lab work. We will continue to speak to staff to make sure voicemails are checked and patient's are called back in a timely manner.

Went to Marque Urgent care located in ******* ********** for a Covid-19 and checked in, tried to present my health insurance, and was told they only accept cash or credit for the covid test $120.oo or ******; I paid the $120.00. A few days later my wife spoke with our primary care physician's ****** as she was inquiring about getting a test through them and she casually mentioned my experience. Then was told that since my insurance was contracted with Marque Medical it should have been covered. I would like a full refund. My doctor's ****** has alerted my health care administrator to investigate this action.
