      I would give them zero stars if I could. Absolutely worst experience I have ever ha trying to get a regular plan medication approved. The people there are rude and so unhelpful. They are so incredibly cheap and only care about keeping money in their pockets -- patient issues do not matter to them. Worst experience ever!!

      I have had Anthem for years yet till this day they still call me every day to see their doctor even though I have multiple doctors. It is beyond harassment at this point. They don’t know how to listen. Just leave me alone.

      0 starts!! I have been dealing with a reimbursement issue since March of 2023. I had breast cancer last year and used a breast surgeon and a plastic surgeon at the same time for surgery. The plastic surgeon does not work with insurance and so I had to pay out of pocket for her services. I was told by Anthem Blue Cross that any plastic surgery having to do with breast cancer would be covered under my plan since it was not elective. I gathered all the codes and information needed. My plastic surgeon office was amazing and got me an invoice put together for everything needed to submit for a claim. I submitted it March of this year and have NOTHING but problems!!! It got denied, I had to file an appeal, then hear nothing. I have had to call constantly over the past 9 months to find out what the status is. Then it finally got approved and I was sent a check for $129.00 instead of $12,900. I called to understand the disconnect and they said that based on the invoice submitted my plastic surgeon did not include a decimal placement and the computer automatically thought it was for the $129.00. After thinking that this time it would be fixed and resubmitted in now September of this year. I called last week and the agent said that it was messed up and they would have to resubmit it again. During this process they also had submitted a discrepancy and saying my husband submitted and he NEVER called or submitted anything with them. I am baffled by the incompetence of this company and the overall general “don’t give a ****” about patients. Do better!!! This is a lot of money to be screwing around with patients who have just gotten passed their cancer journey.

      I called anthem blue cross in June of 2021 and I spoke with an agent for a quote. I ask all the right question and she sounded confident response. She quoted me an yearly fee and put me on a monthly payment and said I would have to renew next June. I asked her clearly if it was from the month I started and a year from that date and she said yes. Later I found out I was quoted wrong and she was wrong about the renewal and everything else she said. So she out on month payment and I called back in 3 month and told her I wanted to make a payment of 1,500. My payments where 500 a month so I asked if they would keep biking me next month or stop for 3 months. She said they would stop for 3 month and charge automatically when the next payment was due because I was in auto payments anyway. That was wrong the next month they did not try and run a payment and canceled my policy without contacting me. I called a montager when my insurance went off and she promised the world that she would have it fix in 5 days and call me back. Nothing happen so I called again. Same thing but this guy said he would call me at noon every day until it was fix. He wasn’t even listening it was a joke. Not sure if he just didn’t care or what. I was asking him question and he kept saying yes to my question that where not yes or no question. So I said yes what? What did I just ask you and he just mumbled. He game me a reference number the didn’t work the next time I called and never called again. I paid this company 3,000 and it cost me over 50,000 for not having medical coverage. We can start with a refund maybe.
