I purchased tile from Mr C**** on 9/1/2012, 80 sq ft totaling $2205.69 plus tax of $193 and a $285 shipping fee which I came to discover is very expensive. I have to say the sale of the tile felt “pressured”. He did not order a sample tile for me to look at first which I found out is an important thing to do esp with an expensive purchase as this. When the tile arrived Mr C**** asked me to pick it up in a few days which was fine but I have a Mini Cooper and was not aware I needed a truck to keep tiles upright. He was nice enough to offer to deliver the tile. On the day he delivered the tile I looked at it and it was not the same tile I wanted (it was darker without weathered edging). The sample he had in his showroom was 15 yes old and I was not aware of that. On the day of delivery, I told him I did not want the tile, he initially ignored me then asked if I “was refusing delivery”. I wasn’t sure of the ramifications of “refusing delivery” and accepted the tile which weighed 900lbs!Everything happened very fast. I offered to pay the shipping for the tile and requested a return which he agreed to. I tried to work with Mr C****, even offered to return the tile myself to the Los Angeles distributor as I was traveling there but Mr C**** never returned my calls or messages on this and so I did not have that chance to return the tile myself. Then Mr C**** said the tile distributor would pick up the tile from my home but that never happened… he had many excuses. He himself said he would pick up the tile which took weeks of text msgs and calls but finally did so in October 2021. I then had to contact him several times to get a refund check waiting well over a month for a refund. He only reimbursed me $1543.43 for the tile, $135.05 for the tax and $285 for shipping and kept $720.21 (30%).Business response

We refunded Ms. R***** her entire purchase less restocking and shipping fees. Even though she signed our invoice that states, "All Sales are Final". The material is now sitting in our warehouse and if we are able to get any more refund from the distributor, we will send it to Ms. R*****. No one from the distributor has come to claim the material because of covid.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: Mr C**** has not made a serious attempt to return the product to the location of distribution which is required to be refunded the restocking fees. He seems content to keep the product and the restocking fee. For all I know he sold the product I returned and kept the profit
