I am devastated. this tree is estimated to be 22-26 years old and was healthy. just recently prune to be far from power line. these men also mentioned they are not touching at tree or cutting down any tree. it seem like they are doing this everywhere. I saw recent complaint regarding this from other previous complaint. you will be hearing from my attorney !!!!!

Hello, I have read your comment and can understand your frustration in this matter. I can assure you that we do not go around cutting trees that do not require a trim or removal. We are contracted to eliminate hazards as well as potential hazards for the safety of the public to eliminate any outages or fires. If you like I can investigate further, I would just need your contact info., that can be sent to ******************* Thank you have a wonderful day!

The saddest thing happened to me a couple of days ago and I hope this won’t happen to anyone else. PGE’s subcontractors are cutting down healthy valuable trees without property owners’ permission under the disguise of fire safety. PGE’s subcontractors, Rolling Green, cut down the biggest healthy black oak tree that was over ten feet from the road while no branches near the powerline. On the day when they cut it down, they told my boyfriend J who was working on the land that they would only trim it, but hours later he called me and said that they cut down the whole tree while he was on lunch break. The main tree trunk is missing while all the smaller branches were left on top of where we currently are installing the leach field for the septic system. Other apparently sicker, or smaller, less valuable trees that are directly growing into the powerline are still standing! J talked with all the subcontractors in the area since. First, they said our big healthy black oak tree shouldn’t be cut down, and admitted that it was a mistake because it was marked as a trim job but somehow got changed to total removal. Later someone even lied about having permission from the landowner. I was never contacted by any of the subcontractors of PGE, and now they are just kicking the ball around to avoid the responsibility. We contacted a lawyer yesterday to take legal action on this matter and already filed a claim with PGE online today. Does a similar thing happen to you? How does it resolve? What else can we do? Before- the tree branch is not touching the powerline and its main trunk is growing away from the road and powerline. After- the remaining trunk of the tree, one inch left on the ground, while all the branches were left on the nearby leach field that we were working on, halting construction.
