The website claims to have a mortgage calculator, but instead uses this as an unethical guise to collect information and sell it to third parties. There is no calculation. Be honest about who you are and what you're doing.

Good Afternoon Mr. ***** We're sorry to hear that you had a less than positive experience with the website. LowerMyBills does advertise as an online information resource and consumer matching site. The website invites consumers to provide self-reported product and service interest, along with a consent to be matched. Additionally, the site does have a mortgage calculator. The calculator clearly indicates that there are many factors that go into assessing a mortgage rate, including credit, other outstanding obligations, home value, etc. So, the calculator is an estimation only. The language there continues, noting that consumers would have the opportunity to discuss that estimate, or presently available rates for qualified applicants, at the point at which they are matched. Of course, we're always looking for ways to make the messaging clearer and more helpful. We'll continue to assess that.Review from Sean T

I saw an online add from lower my bills. In the add, an individual held a sign stating that if they could not lower my mortgage payment, they would make 1 months payment. Well no one they sold my information to can lower my payment. Please contact me to make my mortgage payment. I own 5 homes.Lower My Bills Response

Thank you for passing **** information along. While LowerMyBills does advertise for financial services companies, and provide the opportunity to match to relevant providers, none of the approved messaging by LowerMyBills, contains a guarantee or warranty of results. No authorized adverting by LowerMyBills contains that offer. The information collected by LowerMyBills in the course of providing the services is demographic in nature, and LowerMyBills is not a lender or broker, so there would be no mechanism for LMB to directly lower a payment in such a way.
As a result, we believe these marketing messages are not approved, and are taking place by unauthorized parties, misusing the LowerMyBills brand name. If you can provide any of those messages, we would be eager to track down the infringing party, and put a stop to such messaging.Review from Rob G

Zero stars. I know nothing about the Lower My Bills company. I have never wanted to refinance my mortgage or even considered it and I DON"T OWN A HOME. But I have been getting calls from other companies wanting to "help me refinance." I finally called one company back (REFI.COM) and asked them how they got my personal information. They said, "Lower My Bills is where we get your leads." The person on the phone sounded surprised that I didn't know what Lower My Bills was. I haven't found a contact number or email address for Lower My Bills to demand they stop selling my personal information as it's illegal. The company is obviously untrustworthy if they will stoop to thieving information for and resell it Violating CCPA and TCPA. Mr. Goodrich, thank you for your note. We're sorry to hear that you have been inconvenienced. LowerMyBills (doing business at LowerMyBills.com). is an online financial information matching service. We collect information from consumers who submit their self-reported information, and who submit a request to be matched to providers. We do not purchase information from third parties. So, it would appear that you or someone on your behalf, submitted information. Or, someone submitted their own information, but entered that information incorrectly, and it resolves to your number.
From the information submitted here, we cannot remove your telephone number, as it does not appear. However, if you visit Lowermybills.com, there is a CCPA/opt out link, in the privacy policy, as well as linked on the footer of every page.Customer Response

Zero stars. I repeat, ZERO stars.
I know nothing about the Lower My Bills company. I have never wanted to refinance my mortgage or even considered it. But I have been getting calls from other companies wanting to "help me refinance." I finally called one company back and asked them how they got my personal information. They said, "Lower My Bills is where we get our leads." I haven't found a contact number or email address for Lower My Bills to demand they stop selling my personal information without my knowledge or permission. The company is obviously untrustworthy if they will stoop to thieving information for a quick profit.

LowerMyBills is an online marketing and lead generation site. The only places that LMB acquires consumer information are on sites that are owned and operated by LMB. Those sites invite consumers to submit their contact information for the purpose of being matched to, and contacted by, matched providers.
LMB does not buy or acquire consumer any information from third party sources without that consent.
We would note that many providers receive their consumer information from multiple sources. So, without identifying your telephone number or the provider in question, it is difficult to ***** the source of the the inquiry. However, in recognition of this consumer's concerns, we've submitted the contact information listed, to search our records, and if discovered, add to our Do Not Call list, and remove from our production database.

I get multiple unsolicited text messages a day in an attempt to trick me into contacting them. Why would I use the services of a company that works like this. They know what they are doing and they know how they are advertising. Spam is not the way. Try and find a way to contact them on their home page and you get redirected. The reviews on their fb page look like someone from china write them. The English is worded strange. You guys can f^%$ off.Lower My Bills Response

We're sorry to hear that you're having an unsatisfactory experience. LowerMyBills only text messages or emails consumers that have visited the site and submitted their information as part of a request for information.
The website, the email, and the text messages all have an opt-out function.
As a result of your note, here, I've separately submitted your email to our DNC list. That record may or may not also have your telephone number associated with the email. Should you continue to receive messages at that number, please utilize the opt out functionality (or reply "stop").

This company spams people with unsolicited advertisements. They procure leads unethically and fail to cease communications even after repeated requests. I have documented several, regular unsolicited communications even after repeated attempts to remove my contact information from their system.Lower My Bills Response

We're sorry that you've had an unsatisfactory experience with LowerMyBills advertising.
LowerMyBills only messages directly from consumer visits to our website and submission of requests for information and to be contacted.
There are occasions where third party advertisers send sponsored advertisements which may include LowerMyBills. Those third party advertisers use their own mailing lists, and we do not control the subscription lists for those.
I've put in a request for a data search, as to whether you are part of our list or a third party list, In an abundance of caution, we've submitted our request to add you to our global subscription list, for unsubscription. That will remove you from any LowerMyBills mailing list, as well as any lists that a third party marketer utilizes that are validated against our list.

This company put a hard inquiry on my credit and ruined my credit score yet I have no response from them other than filling my inbox with their spam offer. Don't trust this company and don't ever give them your information.Lower My Bills Response

We appreciate the opportunity to address this consumer's concerns. LowerMyBills is an online marketing company, connecting consumers with relevant financial services providers. LowerMyBills provides no funding, loans, lines of credit, or other extensions of consumer credit.
Additionally, LowerMyBills does not collect a consumer's social security number, as part of the information gathered for matching to providers.
So, there's no mechanism for LowerMyBills to do a credit inquiry, no purpose for which LowerMyBills would benefit or use that inquiry, and no data that would permit LowerMyBills to do that inquiry.
It may be that this consumer visited multiple sites while looking for information about products like mortgage refinances, and may be confusing LowerMyBills with another provider.
We're sorry to hear about any inconvenience, and would be happy to match this consumer to more reputable service providers.Review from John P

This company Bombards you with relentlace advertising, with no way to stop it on the open internet. There is no OPT out page. Please stop them, Incredibly annoying and confusing ad web site.Lower My Bills Response

We're sorry that this consumer's experience was unsatisfactory. LowerMyBills does advertise via search engine results, as well as banner ads and targeted marketing placements on other websites. The purpose of the advertising is to invite consumers to the LMB Site, to review relevant financial services information, and if desired, to be matched with financial services providers. There is a prominent opt out link on the front page of the LMB site, which permits consumers to opt out of email or text message advertising. If this consumer is seeing advertising out on the internet, there's no way for LMB to remove those advertisements from pages of general applicability. This consumer may want to look into ad blocking software for that kind of control over commercial messaging presented to them. If the consumer opts out on our page, we would note that those general advertisements visible to all visitors to a particular website, will still be visible to them.
