Plunge sold a commercial cold plunge tub that was non-compliant with the *** act. They never bothered to test the tub and still have not resolved the issue. In order to bring my cold plunge in compliance, the health inspector in ***************** informed me that additional drain strainers needed to be installed, which I did. Unfortunately, my unit has been down due to a faulty chiller. They cancelled the warranty due to the aftermarket product. After ordering the new chiller my installer cannot get ahold of customer support for the spec installation. This company should have a class action law suit filed against them and Id be more than happy to assist.Initial Complaint

Bought the plunge chiller, universal adapter kit. The kit is leaking. Not on the connections to the cold plunge, but the actual pipe is leaking. Plunge tells me warranty is voided because it has been used with a non-plunge mate tub. But that is the intended use of the adapter kit. So they sold something which is faulty for the intended use and said that theres no warranty.Initial Complaint

11/09/24 purchase date Spent $9,812.95 on Sauna.- Plunge advertises a fully functioning Premium Sauna, Heats up to 210F with app-based control.- Sauna arrived DOA, missing essential parts. The door frame was out of alignment, with major gaps around glass, preventing the unit from heating up. The wood pieces were poorly manufactured, k**** fell off, door handle came loose, lights/fan didn't work correctly. Took over a month to get someone out to look at it. Issue was not resolved (never reached more than 160 degrees) Team has come back 2 more times. This last time replaced the entire door. Issue still not resolved and now, sauna non-functioning due to missing parts on the replacement... Has been over 6 months since I placed my order. They left a 4x8 foot crate on my property with the old door inside, expecting me to pay 200 dollars to have someone remove/dispose of it. I have spent over 100 hours working on solutions, support, emails, trying to get a refund/replacement unit. Basically this has been a total nightmare and made my health worse instead of better. - After calling many times asking for my money back Plunge agreed to give me ***** back but that is a small fraction of what I paid. Since the sauna does not work as advertised I'd like a full refund, and I'd like them to remove "Heats up to 210 degrees" off their website feature list because this is false and deceptive. I don't want future customers to be disappointed after they spend money on an advertised premium product that doesn't perform.Initial Complaint

On 1/12/25, I purchased a Plunge cold tub for $3,184.27 based on advertising that described it as a low-maintenance cold therapy solution. In reality, the product requires excessive maintenance, including water changes every few days due to algae growthsomething not clearly disclosed before purchase. The company only references this in buried help center articles not visible during checkout or marketing. After discovering these issues, I contacted Plunge requesting a return. I explained the product was not as advertised and was too high maintenance. They responded with a 15% restocking fee and packaging costs, despite the misrepresentation. I tried resolving the issue multiple times, but Plunge refused to waive the fees or acknowledge the misleading product description.I eventually accepted their return terms. On 3/26/25, I received an RMA and returned the product per their instructions. However, Plunge claims they never received iteven though I provided proof of shipment and it was not returned to me. To date, I have not received a refund, and they have not attempted to resolve this situation despite multiple follow-ups.Plunge has not acted in good faith. I am now out over $3,000 with no product and no refund. Their advertising was misleading, and their return handling is unacceptable.Desired Resolution: I am requesting a full refund of $3,184.27 due to misrepresentation, failed return handling, and poor customer service.Initial Complaint

Date of transaction: 12/2/2024 Purchased Plunge Evolve XL and standard chiller. Product worked for about 3 months then I noticed water flow issues. I also purchased the extended warranty. I have been reaching out to Plunge for several weeks to try and resolve the issue. They keep telling me the same information and requesting the same information. Paid almost $7k for this product. Also, you can only see the 5 star reviews on their website. And there is no where for a consumer to leave a review. They are greatly misrepresenting their product.Initial Complaint

The company delivered the wrong plunge model. They made the error and are charging us a 15% restocking fee. This is not the product we paid for and should not be paying $1500 for their mistake. It has been a terrible customer experience.Initial Complaint

Purchased in: July 23rd, 2024 Paid: $4,322.80 Plunge has sent me 4 replacement chillers since July of 2024. The first chiller stopped chilling after about 3-4 weeks, the second chiller was missing a plug and had a leak , the 3rd chiller stopped chilling after 3-4 weeks, the 4th chiller called out a CF code ( plunge fixed through firmware upset), then the chiller started tripping and would never power on to start chilling. I have requested a manager call me. No one has called. They told me I would have to pay a 15% restocking fee plus Id have to pay to ship the unit back. Ive never had a working chiller for more than 30 days. I have a 3 year warranty on the product. I would like a full refund. This company is not capable of supplying me a chiller that works for more than 30 days. I reported the last issue to them before Christmas. I have the entire email trail with customer support going back and forth.Initial Complaint

Ordered: July 9, 2024 Delivered Approximately: July 20, 2024 Price: $8940 (Plus Tax - Total $9565.80)Plunge All-In Tub Multiple issues resulting in lost time and money, in addition to a non-functioning product.Multiple calls and emails back and forth in an attempt to resolve the repeat issues.Three service technician visits so far.II have had it since Mid-July 2024 (now Mid-December 2024).The Plunge All-In tub has been broken more than half of my short time with it. Plunge Support (email/phone) has been helpful but slow. Three times I have had replacement parts shipped and a service technician onsite to repair the tub, and it still does not work properly. The technicians they have hired to conduct the repairs have been mediocre at communicating with me and lackluster in their attention to detail regarding their work. The short version is, I have had multiple leaks, temperature control issues, days of constant running where the tub never reaches a set temperature and switches to passive circulation, cracked components (light and filter lid), and most annoying, a power cord circuit breaker that trips and turns the tub off. At this point, it's some combination of bad design, cheap components, or poor quality of work. Hopefully Plunge can fix this expensive white brick before I waste more time, supplies, water and electricity troubleshooting it and not actually using it.Initial Complaint

My concerns include the product's defects, the lack of support from Plunge regarding legal compliance issues, and the unreasonable financial resolution offered.Details of the Issue:Defective Product: The cold plunge unit I purchased in April (delivered May 2024) broke down several times within a few months, necessitating multiple repairs, including two complete replacements of the unit's internal components. This repeated malfunction rendered the unit unreliable for use in my ************** and Compliance Restrictions: I learned after purchasing the unit that the *** is not approving above ground cold plunge units. I reached out to Plunge for assistance regarding this issue, contacting two separate representatives a total of seven times to seek support for an upcoming meeting with the ***. However, despite my efforts, I only received a response after the meeting had already occurred, and the response lacked any useful guidance. Plunge did not follow up on the matter again, leaving me to resolve the compliance issues on my own. Given Plunge's knowledge of industry standards, I believe this lack of disclosure before the sale was both negligent and misleading.Return Process and Financial Loss: While Plunge initially resisted my request to return the unit, they eventually agreed to take it back and waive the 15% restocking fee and transportation costs. At the time I'd said they can keep the $2,077.44 I had already paid, which I now find unreasonable given the products defects and its unsuitability for commercial use due to the legal restrictions. Retaining this payment for a faulty, unusable unit is not an acceptable resolution.Desired Resolution: I am seeking a full reimbursement of the $2,077.44 already paid for this unit. This amount is owed to me as the product was defective, and Plunges failure to disclose relevant legal restrictions rendered the unit unusable for its intended purpose.Thank you for your help in resolving this matter.*****Initial Complaint

Order date: 11/21/22 Amount paid: $6,960.53 Order includes: 1) ***** Protection Plan for 5 years, 2) Plunge - Standard ********** Plunge Pro, Residential Maintenance Package (6 months)Business claims they are all about quality, and keeping it local helps us ensure that every Plunge and Sauna meets our high standards, delivering the best wellness experience to you. However, this has not been upheld. There are no standards as my device is completely broken. It is a very expensive machine that is now broken and the company wont do anything to help me. I believe it is a lemon of a product. The same part continues to fail and other aspects of the machine are falling apart, both electrical and plumbing related issues. They claim to do the right thing and that they got you which means they inspire trust with complete ownership. They have not taken any ownership with regards to the quality of the product or customer service. They are not returning any of my emails. I have had nonstop issues with this device and neither ******************** nor the warranty company (***** (I am submitting a BBB claim against them, too) are responding to any of my inquiries. Each time Plunge sends one of their certified technicians to 'fix' and 'repair' the machine, it breaks even more just a few months later. Also, when talking on the phone with Plunge support, the representative (*****) confirmed that the machine was wrongly marketed to customers, as it claimed to be able to work as a hot plunge. However, he says that is NOT the case. The company has shadily offered me a couple hundred dollar refund for part of my issues which would leave my plunge operating in a completely different capacity than it was advertised.
