March 2024 I contacted Done With Debt to help me get my creditors paid by negotiating payments on my accounts. This company passed me off to another company. This was not explained to me when I signed up. Nor did they tell me they were going to use the ****** method. My large accounts were never contacted. I spoke with a lawyer for *************** and collection company *** for *************. *************** is now suing. So far besides the balance they want an additional $75. Plus I have to pay $30 to respsnd. This was never told me I might get sued. Having a possible lawsuit may make it possible for me to get another job. This company uses a paid actress to pose as a customer.

    Business Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We take all feedback seriously and work hard to ensure that every client has a clear understanding of the debt relief process from the start.

To clarify, Done With Debt is an enrollment center for the largest debt relief company in the nation. Our role is to evaluate each client's situation and determine whether they qualify for the program. Once enrolled, negotiation services are handled by a third-party partner, a structure that is disclosed on three separate occasions:

    1. Enrollment Call A required script explicitly informs you that Done With Debt does not perform negotiations directly.

    2. Compliance Disclosure Call This recorded call again outlines the structure, risks, and process, including the fact that a third party will negotiate your debts.

    3. Welcome Call A final review of the program reaffirms what was already disclosed, including the possibility of collection activity or legal escalation from creditors.

Our records show that you were actively engaged with client support throughout your time in the program and that several representatives, including a supervisor, explained the nature of collections and why certain accounts may be reported or pursued legally a known and disclosed risk in any debt resolution program.

Ultimately, you canceled your enrollment on March 3rd, 2025, and received a full refund from the third party, which was confirmed on March 11th. Your dedicated support manager also closed the account and ended all further activity at your request. Even after cancellation, our client support team continued to assist you and respond to your questions.

We understand this process can be frustrating, especially when dealing with creditor pressure or legal action. However, its important to remember that we followed every required step to ensure clarity and transparency, and your concerns were addressed promptly both before and after cancellation.

Lastly, regarding marketing materials, any testimonial featured is based on the real experience of actual clients. In some cases, actors may be used to narrate or present these testimonials to protect client privacy, but the stories themselves are genuine.

If you would like to speak further or have additional questions, we remain happy to assist. Please contact our client care team at ************ or *********************************************************************************************************************************
