I bought 1 of Toshiba Canvio Advance 4TB USB 3.2 Gen 1 Portable External Hard Drive - White on July, 04 ****************************** approx. 2 months. The files kept getting corrupted and I would have to reformat it to get it to work again for about 2 weeks before it would do the same thing all over again. I kept trying to use it for about another month or so but it never got any better. It was never dropped or anything else ( it sat on my desk the entire time) . I even tried hooking it up to a powered hub instead of straight to my laptop but it didn't help. I have other HDD's and SSD's connected to my laptop and hub and none of the other ones have had this issue. I contacted Toshiba about this and they told me to send it back to them which I did. About 3 weeks after they received it, they finally issued me a refund for it but it was only a partial refund! I contacted them about that and they told me that they only refund for the item price and not for any tax or shipping you had to pay for ( I also had to pay myself to ship it back to them. ) . The problem is I paid $123.99 for just the item but they only gave me a refund of $99.99. They said there was "some depreciation on the drive" that made the refund that amount. I emailed them back to clarify what that meant but never heard anything back from them. I can only assume that the "depreciation" was either because it was defective ( which is of course why I sent it back. ) or they are prorating the amount because I had it for a couple of months. There is NOTHING in their 2 year warranty about prorating. I understand that items have defects sometimes but that is NO EXCUSE for this kind of response and blatant disregard of their own warranty.

Details I bought a tv from Best Buy and after a few months the screen stopped working so I contacted Toshiba and they sent a guy out who deemed it unable to be fixed and they sent me a new tv. In the meantime I had already bought myself a replacement tv since it took a month to get this new one. Once I got the new tv I put it in my downstairs and waited to hire someone to hang it, that was about a month later. I left the tv in the box and had not opened it until they came to hang it. They took it out of the box and the screen was completely ruined. There were scratches all Over it and even spider web scratches. We just put the tv back in the box and never even took the film off of it. I sent in an email about his with all the pictures and they told me they were not going to do anything because I waited 30 days to open the box. But this was the replacement tv so that is so messed up that they wont fix the broken one they sent.

Model ML-EM45PIT(BS) Inverter Microwave oven has an issue with the wiring and it could potentially catch on fire. It's no longer usable and had to be unplugged. At the minimum, Toshiba (or their subcontractor) should reimburse for the cost of the microwave.
